Just me or is the lag REAL
Is it just me noticing this or are others out there experiencing the same. Ever since the update about connection based matchmaking the lag has been terrible. Did they eliminate the color red and replace everyone with green? Before you say it's my connection I have 150down and 25up, so don't really understand why continuing to play against such others with terrible connections.

Yet since the update. It seems to have been the other way around. Like now I keep getting shot through walls (Seemingly deliberately , like they are intentionally shooting me through a wall after im well behind it). Mind you this happened once every blue moon before the update(the first few days after the update wasn't too bad, with little to no lag at all. Yet after that though... It sucks. I have great connection btw. They said getting shot through walls when you think you are safe was supposed to happen to those who are lagging, yet it seems to me the ones getting shot through the walls generally have great connection while the person lagging the entire game is somehow managing to get these kills through walls. It's almost like they did the exact opposite of fixing the problem and aided the laggers even more.

3 RespuestasIdk Comcast has been garbage atm.... My network plan is 150 mbps.......but I'll sit right next to it and test it and it's only 25 mpbs... And were my ps4 is it's only 5mbps.

1 RespuestaYeah I just made a post about it too!! Lots of my shots don't register, even rockets. And points are not given!? It doesn't feel like the normal lag I know though. Someone pointed out its this referee that's messing things up...

I'm green bar 95% of the time, the lag is real. Had a serious disadvantage to some guy DBZing with a red bar on Shores of Time today

1 RespuestaYou've probably been reported for slow connection or cheating so you're getting dumped with all of the laggers. If it's connection focused matchmaking, and those who aren't lagging and/or cheating are getting matched together, then everyone is is/were reported as are getting paired together too. You might have just been too good for people to believe that you were doing what you did without cheating. My shitty 0.8 K/d and good connection have been getting terrific matches. Lag seems to be cut down by two thirds for me and more of it seems genuine poor connections.

2 RespuestasTonight, I have been seeing some titans in a team teleporting and disappearing and as I wonder where they went, they shoot me from behind. Quite a bit of disappearing acts, I am wondering if this is a new perk or class item or something ungodly from hell. I would get charged from a distance by a titan shoulder charge and I would keep shooting as they were charging me and as they finally kill me with shoulder charge then lag and then they would die from my excellent delayed body and headshots shots.

Make sure your connection is wired. Make sure your tv/monitor is optimized for gaming (many have a game mode, there's a reason for it, your machine can lag communicating what is happening, and what is on your screen) That your set up? Yes - well its either detinys servers, or a genuine cheat with a network stresser. That is the only other two options. No - to either and/or both? Get that sorted.

I had one game where I kept getting the "contacting Destiny servers" thing, which I left and was entirely me lagging out because someone was watching a video on their phone on the wireless network in the house. Otherwise...Iron Banner's been about as laggy as a P2P based game mode usually is. Everyone red bars at some point in a game. I suspect once again a lot of the complaints are coming from people with substandard connections themselves, who have no idea their connection isn't as good as they think it is. A few people have legit issues with the other side, and there's occasions where things just get -blam!-ed up. I think a lot of people might be exaggerating how bad it is in order to join in the Bungie Hate Bandwagon though.

Because they didn't change anything. One of those we say we will do it and don't and these stupid people will just go off of what we say and believe it. Wrong. It's still skill based. Every match is sweaty as -blam!- and lag or latency which ever they choose to classify it as even though they clearly know what we mean.

Lag .. Mmm.. Idk. But yeah the game does not register the shots thats why maybe u got kill behind a wall and get a headshot u know it was way early or late. Is not laggy but it feels weird

Defenitly not jumping on the hate wagon for bungie. Actually really love the competiveness of trials just hoping they realize whatever they are screwing with is totally messing up the game. I understand all pvp games have lag issues but this is by far terrible

Not just you. Twice last night I hit someone with a direct shadow shot bolt. The first time, the titan shoulder charged out of it and killed me, the second time, It stuck him to the wall and he punched me. I can't survive a direct hit by shadow shot, but some other players seem to be immune to it.

At least bungie did something even if its not really big yet. I know because i have a friend who has bad connection and we always make fun of him once his name starts blinking. Lol

It's awful indeed... Red bars in disguise of green bars, people surviving direct rocket shots, teleporting, etc.

People getting kicked left and right, being disconnected from servers then respawned into the match(without super or special, kills reset), people teleporting, people walking into walls, getting shotgunned in the back from the same guys you just had your sights on in front of you, 4 vs 5 matches from the start, with no one being added to the team, 3 people leaving at the beginning of the match and no one being added to the team... Don't know what happened tonight but it was bad bad.

I've had matches where I would shotgun point blank and still die and the enemy dies like 5 seconds later.

2 RespuestasIn iron banner so far the lag is horrible. There have been entire lobbies of yellow bars including me just because one person on the enemy team had the worst red bar connection ever
