Icebreakers break the update...
Why would icebreakers not be in the head of the developers when they come up with not starting off with special ammo. I see every noob player, who clearly can't play with anything other than snipers, use ice breakers, so they get an advantage.

So in other words when you pick up special ammo, you only get one bullet, but after six seconds it multiples 5x into six bullets, and so on until it reaches maximum reserve capacity. If there is already ammo in your reserve you can't pick up anymore special. So that fixes the issue where players can snipe right off the bat in PvP and still makes it a very viable option in PvE.

1 RespuestaIce breaker is not a big deal to me.. Yes my enemies will have special but I have something they don't, (skill). I use primaries for everything and no I dont use last word or mida.. I use doctrine every once in a while but I really use my monte carlo or hard light or zhalo or even the water star and I still win. Why? Because people who only know how to use special will never be good at using primaries, you should see how they freak put when I get close enough with a flank.

On top of that it is an exotic and has an exotic perk that is designed for situations where ammo is limited. I'll wait till we're in game. If I see someone on the opposite team put theres on I'll put my icebreaker on for a level playing field. Same with thorn.

I believe that the solution to this is simple, if Icebreaker was not able to regenerate shots form nothing, then the abuse would be less severe, and the weapon itself would not need to be rebalanced. As long as the Icebreaker required at least one shot to regen ammo, then the problem would be sovled for the most part, after that it would be a matter of viewing sidearms.

Do you not know about the ice breaker ammo glitch. You keep it equiped for round 1. When round 1 ends immediately swith to different special weapon. You will start round 2 with half to full special ammo on the gun you use. Bungie needs to make ice breaker unequipable in trials. When someone has an icebreaker equiped for round1 that is what they are doing.Bungie needs to patch it so players will have to get special ammo rather than glitch it.

Most of the best, cool and fun guns suck in PvE because of their obsession with using all weapons in PvP. Crucible "balancing " is killing PvE.

( which is sad considering this is a video game.....) Anyway, a true fix would be start with reduced special ammo and make crates spawn at longer intervals. Most matches in the beginning end before the special even spawns. So making an even longer spawn time would have resolved most of the initial problems. To adress the perks on the guns that give you extra ammo. Either adress the perk or take special ammo back to where it was before. People who are good with icebreaker or sidearms will care less if you remove the ability to have ammo on swap. Plus, sometimes the enemy changes their load out mid game, and i want to do something to counter it. Now i have to go without special for almost another round until i can get more? If you remove the ability to swap between special and heavy in between rounds or on death, you will once again hinder pve. Why does everything stupid in pvp affect pve? Either make pve stats completely seperate or give us another shotgun boost.

Bungie knew this would happen there not stupid but they are stupid for allowing yr1 weapons in trials. Hopefully this just makes them send out the rest is f yr1 exotics and the missing 7 or 8 yr2 pieces. If people are gonna use ib make it yr2 pretty simple really. Then make it so first round doesn't generate for 20secs then 8 for the rest

Maybe because it will cause the players who bought Destiny when TTK launched to go back and grind countless hours in Y1 activities to try and get it? Don't forget Bungie's main goal for Destiny; Keep them playing and milk out more total hours played wherever possible.

I'm definitely not the best PvP player out there but we had people in Trials last night starting with side arms and changing to snipers so that they had special on the first round. Not one time did I die to a sniper. My team mate died one time. We didn't have special ammo ourselves till heavy ammo round because we kept killing them too fast. Get better Guardian

the simple fix would be to make the light level punishment actually a punishment, ie make it take another shot to kill
