Datto and holtzmanns solution to DoT
They said that Damage over time (DoT) should only keep your shield down and not touch your health. That goes for thorn and firebolts only though.
Edit:Btw these changes wouldn't affect pve in any way.
Edit 2: I never said my opinion so don't hate me. This is an idea two very respected players had and Im only asking your thoughts on this. Second thing is that when I say shields I mean the big bar that's before your health, not over shields (force barrier or flame shield).
Edit: someone fcked up the 50/50. Who did that?

1 RespuestaLook, if Warbulletproof or AeGabriel or ramblinn or any other really good pvp player suggested something, I would be more inclined to agree because they always have to play people who abuse DoT. I'm more sceptical of the opinions of players who don't play the game regularly in the most competitive pvp environment (datto and Holtzman).

I am glad that bungie doesn't always take the advice of people that play the game so much. This isn't hate from or defense of anything used in the game. I am speaking more on principle that I see it as I speak for myself and no one else. It is the same as each person here speaks for themselves. If you agree with these well known players that is fine too. I just try to deal with what the game gives me. I am very average in 6v6 and I am f.u.c.k.i.n.g atrocious in 3v3 but I still see it as it is what is. I am more concerned with game quality issues like lag in pvp or oryx just chilling after he slams a platform. Many of these criticisms, valid as they may be in relation to pvp sometimes sound like "I was killed by this and I shouldn't have been killed by this."

No, definetly no. This change will destroy the term Damage over Time. The solution should be standarize all DoT to Thorns standars.

1 RespuestaI personally feel that DoT should end if you die period. I'm a Thorn fan and have always felt cheap for getting kills after I died unless they hit me with their fire bolt grenade then I consider that fair.
