So Bungie can we get an explanation as to why a Ice Breaker at 170 Attack can one shot Head Shot somebody with a 317 Helmet in Trials of Osiris? My light was at 314 and his was at 299 needless to say the Light Level system is a bunch of bull crap why spend all this time collecting year 2 weapons if they are going to be outshone by year 1 weapons.
-
His light average is 299 with an icebreaker yours is like 310+
-
Bungie just needs to un nerf the regen rate and bring it into Y2. Good to see it can still OHK at 170 though.
-
yep it feels good to dome with it

Let's assume that the person attacking you is full 320, except Icebreaker which is 160. This makes their light level 300. Let us also assume that you are full 320, thus at light level 320. The difference in strength between you and him... A whopping 5%. Why? Because of the Light Level Delta. 10 light = 2.5% advantage (how much more damage you deal and how much less damage you take), so 20 light is 5%. It takes roughly 180 damage to outright kill you. Icebreaker, due to its impact, deals 210-ish to the head. At 95% of its strength, it will still deal about 200 damage, more than enough to kill you. In order for them to not be able to kill you outright, their light level would need to be around 240, a whole 8 delta lower than you. So stop crying about how being a higher light level means you're somehow more powerful cause it really means nothing after 310.

Get wrecked !

Just remember people who sabotage their light level in Trials have decreased damage output and you do more damage to them. I'd say it's a somewhat fair trade off
-
Lol the drop off percentage isn't enough for a high impact sniper not to one shot head shot you.... Get to know the light system before you come on forums. The fact that it being 170 damage has nothing to do with anything, just your overall light is your power

The damage you deal is based off your light level. If you do 100 damage with a primary then switch to a weaker special or heavy, you'll do less damage with your primary. Soo, if you have all 320 gear with the ice breaker. You're still over 300, so you'd do damage similar to those your light level. Test it out if you'd like.

1 RespuestaYou can ohk a 320 super and a 320 full shield res with a 290ish character and a 170 icebreaker. The games light lvl means crap, its just a lie to help increase the grind in unknowing players.
-
3 RespuestasLol the fact that you think the helmet affects headshot damage is funny.
-
Its something I've been saying since TTK came out, the new light system is a lie, bungie has no prior experience with RPG mathematics, and only make these drastic, un-thought out changes in a reactionary panic. The weapon balancing team is a pathetic joke and, against common knowledge in the development world, bungie decided to un-empower their players in PVE.

Really complaining about this? LMAO

Editado por Harket16: 2/14/2016 2:21:34 PMbecause even with a 50% damage reduction its still gonna do above 1 shot headshot, at least it wont be able to res snipe or snipe out of supers. I mean I can do well for the first 3-4 wins(without boons) trolling with Thorn or necrocasm.

At 296 light, i was using icebreaker and was getting headshot kills
-
3 RespuestasI was playing as my 25 hunter with no land beyond and I can one shot people
-
Because total light level is why determines damage. If you're a high enough light you can have ice breaker on and still be over 300. And a headshot multiplier is huge.

6 RespuestasTbh, I think it's a bit of a gimmick, I've never been able to tell the difference between iron banner and regular crucible with regards to level, light and perks.
-
Overall light level is the only reflection of your attack defence values to my understanding a single weapon means nothing
-
4 RespuestasSeen a 262 one shot first blood with icebreaker against a 315 player complete garbage
-
IB isn't the only 170 sniper that can 1 shot in Trials.
-
Realism!
-
Yep. Headshots still work, even if it takes me down to lvl 301 using it. Works in medium range combat. Long range to much fall off

2 RespuestasDamage is based on characters light level not the weapons
