I really want to start using fusion rifles. Which one would you recommend starting out with?

Low charge will yield more 1 shot kills at range. The higher impact options are more inconsistent, but can also lead to kills on targets with over overshields or damage resistance.

Thanks! I've been toying with the Thesan lately,it's ok I guess. The thing I'm having problems with is judging the distance right. I usually/snipe or shotgun so it's taking some adjusting. Do you have any tips on how to improve that sorry of thing or is it something only I can learn by practice?

Go for high range rather than stability. There is a trick where if you quickscope with a red hip fire reticle on the enemy right as the burst fires, it will delete the recoil and all bolts will land. It's nassty. I would go with Panta Rhei from the crucible Quartermaster or Ashravens Flight from iron banner next time it comes around. High range makes bolts travel faster and you don't have to lead targets as much. It makes it so you let the inherent aim assist track your target rather than trying to adjust your reticle at the edge of the target acquisition circle.

My main tip would be to stick to only 1 fusion rifle when practicing. Experiment with how far to lead targets, it's not too drastic at most ranges. Go into patrol and shoot a wall to see how the blast pattern looks and practice mitigating the recoil. Mostly just practice and stick to it. You can't be nearly as aggressive with fusions, so don't initiate engagements. Also be wary of latency because that can have an impact.
