Bungies "Roadmap" lol
They claim to have come to us with breaking news about the future of the game. Too bad they only gave it to us because activision forced their hand. Everything in today's weekly update was pretty much a direct quote from the activision earnings call this morning. They aren't listening to us. They aren't giving us answers because we asked for them. All bungie is doing is trying to cover their asses after activision dropped more about the future of this game in five minutes than bungie has in 5 months.

EDIT 2: We're trending. Lets keep the community informed of the way Bungie truly treats us.
EDIT 3: 150+ comments. Let's make sure bungie sees this and knows that we aren't blind to what has been going on.
EDIT 4: Now Bungie is going to give us a free 320 ghost shell one day after they tell us that the light level is going to be raised. Even though the ghost shell is going to be irrelevant in a short period of time people are still praising Bungie. Does that make sense to anybody else?

2 RespuestasIt was a shareholder earnings call. Bungie was most likely under an NDA. Due to trading rules/laws they would affect the stock price if they just announced things whenever they want. Problems of the publisher being publicly traded.

Yeah I agree with your statements, but note they only said it was a glimpse of the roadmap, not the whole thing.

We've noticed for months that Bungie doesn't listen. As far as a business - it probably helps that they don't. As far as a gaming company that openly said they want feedback to constantly improve and adjust the game - it's a flat lie. Bungie should just stop telling us they are listening.

Most of us imo are tired of playing like this and are leaving so they need to start thinking about quality more and quantity less.

Good. This is what I've been waiting for, was getting sick of sounding the alarm for over a year with no one listening (seemingly). [b]IT IS NOT OK THAT BUNGIE LET THE GAME GET THIS AWFUL IN THE FIRST PLACE.[/b] Part of me is glad they're (supposedly) trying, but the fact is they're a veteran developer now and yes, they lost half their team when they split with Microsoft but even so enough of the top guys stayed behind that all the crap that's happened should never have been. Haraold Ryan should never have pissed off Joeseph Staten by shitting over 5 years of hard work at the last minute leading to Joe's resignation. Refusing to fully back Marty against Activision's clear attempts to wrest creative control (and then wrongfully firing him afterwards under bullshit pretenses) was yet another colossal scew up and I'm glad that idiot's gone, but the damage has been done. That final decision to split apart the full game into a base and 3 DLCs was the last straw. Deej and Cozmo should have known better than to be smart asses and poke fun at us over serious concerns with the game and worse yet, openly LIE to us in the updates. Bungie, your game was fun once - during the Alpha and Beta. The E3 trailer (orginal) showed great promise. Those of us who've been around since the beginning know the great stuff you're capable of. In short, you're better than this and we are right to expect more from you. It's not being greedy or entitled, it's only demanding the very same standard you people once set with Halo. I won't go through the laundry list of changes I feel need to be made, only that all things considered, this last "expansion" really should be free as an apology to the community and you had damn well better make Destiny 2 everything the 1st game should have been and more if you want this IP to truly shine the way I know it can.

Activision owns Bungies. As such, if Activision doesn't want Bungie to reveal anything before the earnings report presentation, Bungie has no choice but to comply. One wasn't a knee jerk reaction to the other, it was simply business.

1 RespuestaI can almost guarantee that Activision was clipping Bungie wings, and they were begging Activision for more breathing room. I work in a similar industry, where my employer is part of a larger conglomerate, with a big company in charge of all the "small" ones. We get put in the same position with people wanting information on various products that are either upcoming or potentially on the drawing board, but we can't give the information despite how much we want to. Bungie is doing what they can with the limitations their investors/owners have put in place. Yes, the roadmap could've included specifics, but we all know product development is a fluid business and one little thing can -blam!- up an entire schedule. I believe we can rest assured that Bungie cares about us, hears our concerns, and is actively exploring solutions to address them. Have a little faith.

8 RespuestasI have a question for those on this post, maybe I am getting old but what is "Grind"?? If the majority play this game to progress to the maximum level they can get, is getting there classed as grinding? If so, that means that any level based game is full of grind, correct? Fallout 4, to get to a high level, you grind to get there... ESO – grind, warframe – grind, the division – grind, in fact any game where a character level or gear level is reached by progressing... If thats the case, is grind not just a forum cool kids word for "play"? If its not any of the above, what the hell is it??

Don't care why they said it but saying it gives at least an idea something is in the works. i know it is vague but so what. When i started hearing nothing until fall i was worried. Most games i play the crap out of for about a month before I am bored. As much as people complain this game gave me more content then most games that pretty much just have a 10 hr campaign and pve that doesn't change much at all.

I can't wait for them to drop the pve content. I'm sure it will keep me totally busy for atleast 2 hours. Lol. This game is so -blam!-ed. Every knows their content drop will be a let down. So don't get your hopes up.

2 RespuestasThis has pissed off more than I thought it world. At this point I'm fully done with the company. Destiny2 will be getting a skip by me. It's again more vuage bullshit and endless promises of things to come. No I'm sorry it's likely going to be more bullshit that we have yo pay off for content that lasts less than 2 hours. Pretty much every other studio has delivered more content for less money st this point and im just do beyond done.
