They claim to have come to us with breaking news about the future of the game. Too bad they only gave it to us because activision forced their hand. Everything in today's weekly update was pretty much a direct quote from the activision earnings call this morning. They aren't listening to us. They aren't giving us answers because we asked for them. All bungie is doing is trying to cover their asses after activision dropped more about the future of this game in five minutes than bungie has in 5 months.
EDIT: Here is a link to Activision's slide presentation from the quarterly earnings report. Page 9 Details what they have planned for this cycle for their major IP's.

EDIT 2: We're trending. Lets keep the community informed of the way Bungie truly treats us.
EDIT 3: 150+ comments. Let's make sure bungie sees this and knows that we aren't blind to what has been going on.
EDIT 4: Now Bungie is going to give us a free 320 ghost shell one day after they tell us that the light level is going to be raised. Even though the ghost shell is going to be irrelevant in a short period of time people are still praising Bungie. Does that make sense to anybody else?

You are acting like an entitled little bitch. This is exactly what the community has been asking for. Grow up, son

Idiot -_-

I feel like I have been deeply engaged by their growth. Which sounds exactly like getting f&*%#ed.

Activision owns that info you tard! Stop and think before you spew stupid in the open.

Am I the only one who's just happy that we're getting some proper content again? These events are of no interest to me, I wish they had just stuck with the DLC model they had going and continued to improve the releases as they were doing. Since it's a 'large' expansion I guess it'l have a raid and stuff. Should be pretty cool, but honestly just happy for something to do in the game.

Attach rate = profit. These are micro-transactions and they directly impact a company's bottom line. In the business world companies will take a loss on the base product if it means selling an attachment. Increases in attach rates drive up baseline profitability and investor interest without impacting sale rates or profitability generated by the base product. Now this is just an assumption but I'd say Activision generates a higher rate of profit from the attach rates since these transactions happen outside of the original contract between Bungie and Activision. Which is why we've seen a decrease in product output and financial decline in Bungie while Activision profits from the current business model.

2 RespuestasEditado por OriginalMrDave: 2/12/2016 4:54:10 PMYou do realise companies have embargo and stuff to stop leaks? Activision is a colossal company which probably has a huge amount of its wealth tied up in share prices, they NEED to control the flow of information about the games they control in order to keep those prices stable and thus make them a good investment for other parties. Also do you really think that Bungie were going to announce full details of a big DLC in a random weekly update in the middle of Feb? Companies always hold back on this sort of stuff for shows like E3 etc etc to create hype and publicity for the upcoming release. Although I understand you want a clearer list of what's going on its not going to happen simply because of a wide range of factors. They want to create maximum suspense and hype by hitting the big stages with tons of info. If they stand up at a gaming expo with a load of stuff we already know people will laugh them off the stage, it's all marketing and hype creation. Also their strategy is probably to dodge the division, I'd be really surprised if they try to go toe to toe with it as a game that's been out 18 months will never compete short term, however if they wait 2-3 months, let the division cool down and then smash out a big DLC before kids go on summer break they'll make considerably more money, which as a business, is their priority.

Wow... How does Activision giving a release target for Destiny 2 and saying there will be a large expansion force Bungie's hand? We all knew there would be an expansion, we all knew there would be a Destiny 2? OP is a Troll... and fgt

1 RespuestaYknow what's funny? I think you have it backwards. The update came out minutes after the earnings report. I believe bungie was under an nda
-
1 RespuestaOr more realistically Activision which is the publisher and gets to decide what information about the roadmap is released and when revealed this to investors and Bungie therefore was free to include it in the weekly update in case you don't follow Activision's investor calls.
