Im honestly curious, how will bungie handle this new light level increase?
Will they just make TTK gear higher light?
Also, with the new expansion, will it be like the dark below light wise?
You know, where vendor gear was better than the previous raid gear?
Discuss.
cant keep track of all the replies, sorry guys.
I think it will be the same as TTK... You'll have to grind the new content in the hopes the gear that drops is higher light level then what you have already. I think and significant overhaul to that system won't show till D2

31 RespuestasEditado por Vortex: 2/12/2016 2:07:16 PMAll I see is the fact we wasted all our time getting to lvl 40 and light lvl 320 for nothing Edit: alright. If everyone is gonna say things like -blam!-ing retard and stupi, etc rhen don't respond at all
-
6 RespuestasI was hoping they'd drop a bombshell and get rid of Light Level completely, in favor of a traditional leveling system. Light Level should be renamed into "Gear Score" and not have any effect on your character's overall damage output in end game activities.

2 RespuestasEditado por EL_DIABLO_VERD: 2/12/2016 9:13:26 PMHave you not been around the last year? They will make this gear obsolete and sell gear that is higher than what we currently have like always

1 RespuestaIf there's not etheric light or a similar option then I'm not interested. -blam!- rng

Editado por The_Beninator_19: 2/12/2016 9:29:10 PMJust raising the light level without adding any new content would be a very bad move. I wouldn't have much of any issue with vendor gear being better or equal to current raid gear just because I've played so little of the game these last few months that most of my friends are way ahead of me and it would be nice to have a way to catch up that didn't involved hours of grinding and lfg
-
It seems most likely old content will be brought up
-
330 light lvl... so everybody go back to farm 330 ghost and artifact in time gated events.

2 RespuestasHey guys its DeeJ here about that big update that is gonna bring us new gear PVE events and raise light level it will be Free!!! Well in a matter of speaking, it cost money to give you all content so to cover the expenses we are sad to inform our player base they have to switch from last-gen consoles over to the next-gen to continue your Destiny experience
-
If that means we get a new pve endgame activity then brilliant:). Finally beat oryx normal for first time today, so currently I'm still happy.
-
2 RespuestasThe real question is what's the point in higher light lvl??? Unless there is significant new content to use this in who cares. Bungie probably will put lipstick on the pig again and tell us its the new miss universe dlc. Get ready for letdown again.
-
Editado por finRatman: 2/12/2016 6:31:03 PMI guess first it's gonna be capped at 330 and few months later 340.

2 RespuestasEditado por Bumsai: 2/12/2016 3:00:21 PMNo. Im guess that they make a big recycling on old raids/arena or strikes with same gear with higher light level. Maybe some new exotics and a lot new emotes and dances for silver/real money. Thats it. Boring as hell. - No new real content. At the end of the year we will get some stuff from the "SUPERCUT" from Destiny-1. I guess a whole new chamber/path in the oryx raid. You have to Play 2/3 the normal raid, than opens a new path to a secret room with a new boss and new loot. Not so much new at all. Oh! Ive forgotten... a lot new dances and emotes and colours/banner for real money - yeah! In the end of 2017, we will get a whole new Destiny-2! Hopefully with really new stuff and a lot of huge exploreable areas and planets. If not, its like Destiny-1 rinse repeate. Thats my thoughts. PS. Sry for my bad english! :/

2 RespuestasVendor gear won't be better, right now it's 40 below the cap, in TDB it was just one LL different. I pray to -blam!-ing Rahool that they take light off of class items. Preferably Ghost shells, too. But DEFINITELY class items.

9 RespuestasYay, now I wont have to waste my time on KF when it will become pointless after this increase. Lol. Fcking dumb. Every weapon and armor should have a constant lvl system to eventually get to max level. So yes everyone would eventually be 320.
-
theyre just going to release those 330 exotics...that is all....bungie is crap
-
324. Watch. Lol. They will remove infusion as well. May rng be always in your favor. It's not new content and gear if all the old content and gear is still viable, by bungies standards anyways.
-
Or increase light level of y1 stuff. That's what I'm hoping for.
-
I don't see the light increase being as significant as they make it seem. I think they will only increase it to 330
-
Hopefully it is not a major increase like HoW to TTK. It was to great of a jump and caused the old raids, gear, and weapons to be worthless. I am hoping for maybe a 330 light. It is difficult to interpret what "significant Light increase" means. Sometimes they are stingy and other times it is too much. with the rise of the light level, I would assume they will introduce some small PvE based event. Hopefully about the scale of the Prison of Elders. I suspect in September or October we will see the major expansion. Otherwise, there is not a reason for a light increase. Considering he said "larger update", I don't consider the next update to be too large since CD was considered an update with a few minor tweaks to other modes. Deej typically uses vague but very specific wording that is easily read to be something more than what it is. But looking back at Weekly updates and then what happened, I know to lower my expectations because his wording is usually spot on. Either way, I am not going to worry about hitting 320. I am fine at 319.
-
1 RespuestaThe real idiots are he ones who grinder for 320. You knew the light level was increasing and there is literally no reason to be above 311. Don't hate bungie hate your own retarded logic
-
I'm willing to bet the limit will be pushed to 340. Everyone remembers people talking about the 330 exotics, that would make perfect sense for a 340 level cap; the delta between exotics and max level would remain the same. I'm really hoping this means they are making the old raids current as the new way to get light up to 340.
-
Editado por SweetZombieJesus: 2/12/2016 2:46:43 PMI think the light will go to 330 or 340. The old system is gone and won't return this system will be retired with either the Expansion or Destiny 2. If there is NEW PvE content it will drop 320+ gear from quests or rewards. If its just rehashed content with new challenges and quests, the same applies. We'll only be able to hit Max light by infusion and RNG luck, just like now. All events from Trials, Iron Banner, to perhaps SRL will drop Max level gear. Exotics will drop like they do now, 10 points lower than Max level with a chance to drop lower. Basically, it will be exactly the same, just a higher number
-
They'll probably bring along the new exotics and some of the old ones and make people re-level everything in a convoluted way
