100% convinced people cheat in the crucible.. I'm not talking about lag..
You ever come across that guy who's hawksaw shoots 2x faster than yours? Or who's nl shadow shoots faster than the supercell?
That isn't latency Internet crap. That's straight hacking. Whether it's the game or controller or system. It's cheating. What's with the mentality of these people? In their minds they are good or better than you even though they have to cheat..
I've joined people off LFG for trials and seen it from my own screen.. I ask "dude how are you shooting your hawksaw that fast".. he just laughs and deflects the question..
How do they shoot their weapons so much faster? Shouldn't we all know and use this incredible hack to even the playing fields?
Edit: some of you just talk to talk. Some of you are more educated than others. Some of you missed the point of the post entirely.
My research tells me there is modded controllers that increase your RoF. But in destiny yhe games mechanics are set. Every weapon has a specific RoF that cannot be increased. I understand that latency issues make it seem like a weapon kills you faster than you kill with it at times. My issue is with people that have found a way to make their same weapon shoot faster (they are cheating because they suck without cheats, so they miss more shots than they land, you can hear their weapon exceeding the max RoF) I've got a higher medal score and more play time than all of you. Yet your logic is they are just better than me and I'm trying to find an excuse. I have to much experience to know when someone is on BS or just on point. You'll come across these losers one day and then you'll remember this post and think "damn that guy was right, that weapon cannot shoot that fast".. cheers

People may not be able to hack the consoles directly, but i know damn well for a fact that you can mod the -blam!-ing game. And this game is full of cheaters

1 RespuestaI very rarely see cheating in destiny but when I see it, its god damn obvious. Have you ever been 2 shot by mida? Or had a Randi guy run almost twice as fast as you despite you having a max agility hunter? Or hit a dude square in the chest with a rocket just for him to confidently walk out of it and melee you? Its not often but it happens. I have no interest in using hacks but it amazes me the lengths people will go to be able to beat other people in an online game

The only thing ive seen, is lag switching. Popping s guys head off and he just starts running straight into my team and tanks everything from a super to a sword, and we all die and he suffers no damage. Or he lag switches when he is taking damage to run away. This is the most common thing ive seen so far, alongside the spawn killing bullshit due to piss poor map design

Never seen it happened to me before. I've been accused of cheating a couple times but when I asked how I was cheating or something along the lines of that they don't respond. I get the odd response here and there and I explain fully to them how it happened and why. I'm not saying cheating doesn't exist in this game, but there are things that are relatable to latency.

Saw a warlock with Max recovery and armor build (meaning 0 agility ) strafing around dodging shots as if they had max agility. It was clownish

It's called trigger stops, or better timing in pulling the trigger bud. ... trigger stops are completely legal btw...so either get better timing with pulling the trigger at the right time, buy a scuff, or buy an elite controller.

There's unquestionably cheater in crucible, but I think they are a lot less common than people think.

My simple comment, If you have to cheat to be able to compete in a game, you just suck at the game to begin with. And if you cheat and still lose, you should really play a different game

We need a video of it otherwise peoples guesses become more wild. It could be a number of things but there's no way to make the gun actually shoot faster than its max rof. There's modded controllers for turbo and stuff which helps achieve max rof but not exceeding it. My best guess would be lag since that's usually what causes issues in this game (teleporting, shooting through walls, etc)

4 RespuestasI'm not so convinced to be honest. I think it's something to do with bungle. Some days I'm like a pvp god and others I'm crap. Hit shots not counting movement slowed down. I've noticed the moment the most. One day I can zoom about the maps like Daley thompson the next day I'm like eore on dope. Fire rate also effected like this. I've done Internet speed checks day by day and mine is steady and always good. I don't understand what this means though. Could be outside influence ie cheater or just that bungle has me running through a crappy old server that used to belong to halo back 10 years ago.

Just a modified controller had lots of them for the 360 also had a few jtag consoles it was pretty sweet you could manipulate any game you wanted from a laptop. To think people don't mod and cheat is naive but a lot of the issues in this game tie back to servers being shit and people playing with shit connections in general. Btw you can already mod xbox one controllers not sure if the ps4 has any mods yet unless you know someone that knows how to mount it in the controller

A few years ago I was supervising a remodel on a commercial building that housed a specialized pc business. They built high end pcs, fixed all types od compters, etc. During that time one of the guys that worked there had me over to his home to discuss an addition. While there I saw a media room that had several PS3s torn apart and wired through pcs. Curious, I asked what he was doing. He just grinned and told me that if I ever played online against him he was going to win. The guy was genius with computers. Software, coding, hardware. To say people can't cheat with consoles is to ignore the lengths some people will go to when they have the know-how and lack integrity.

I got a cronusmax so i could use my 360 racing wheel with forza 6. Upon hooking it up to my computer i saw files for destiny. Decided to give it a try....its friggin cheating hands down. It is programmable with multiple gun profiles you select with a button on it. For example, one profile setting for no land beyond does some voodoo, shoot,sprint,reload,shoot. Basically glitches the game into giving it a rof equal to 1000yard. Mida multitool profile, shoots and pulls down slightly on the right stick to stop recoil. Same with hawksaw, nerwins,bad juju....these all have profile to stop recoil and muzzle rise. The worst combo for the chronus, with an unstoppable ttk, is nlshadow and side arms.... Ive gone toe to toe with any primary and melted face...its totally unfair. Fun to play with but unfair...so unfair, i dont even use it in the competitive playlists because its so obvious its modded. There is even a profile for sword where you continue to hold shield and you can swing and it does some button crap to where your shield is only down for a split second. The worst part is, you cannot detect if the controller is modded or not. You plug a long usb cable into the xbox, then chronus, then the controller.

2 RespuestasI witnessed a warlock pop a super today in about 2 minutes today. It was during rift. He used his storm trance first to clear us from our rift. They scored. They then gained the very next spark. He's at our rift again using radiance. Needless to say they scored twice, and I'm not salty about that. But to be able to switch abilities and have supers in that amount of time? Explain that.
