Admit it, the Division is going to be the new Destiny, and me being a major Destiny fan, I say it looks bloody brilliant. I mean, there is a place where you can slaughter other players for their loot. But then you become a Rogue Agent. Imagine that, assassinating someone and then you will have to be on the run, trying to escape other Agents that are trying to finish you like you did to your victim, then imagine, you duck around into a forest and nobody notices. Then you pop out behind the group and just gun them all down. Like c'mon, you guys can't tell me that this game doesn't look goddam amazing. Tell me your thoughts.
And do you think it's going to be the new Destiny?
1 RespuestaSeems even more unfriendly towards solo players. No mention at all of end game content. Boring human bullet sponge bosses. 3rd person cover shooter. Can't play PvP solo or you will get stomped and get no loot. Don't think this game will be the cure for Destiny. Maybe a nice distraction before Destiny starts to get heavier and more consistent content I hope.

1 RespuestaDivision is so far the best game I have seen ever since the release of Destiny, but people will still play Destiny nonetheless.
-
No it isn't. Because it's third person. Third person is a thing that lots of players do not like, I won't buy it solely because it is.

1 RespuestaComparing apples to oranges

It has several things in common with destiny, actually. There are many, many differences but some of the core gameplay "hooks". MMO-ish game catering to both PvP and PvE players, RPG-ish skill based character development and most importantly RNG focused loot system. Yeah tons of things different but it is aiming ft to appeal to what players love about, and hooked them on Destiny.
-
When shooting a teammate he should get the forgive option and if he doesnt steal your loot he doesnt go rogue and you both get what the rogue bounty would have been
-
By the new Destiny do you mean: Over hyped Oversold Under delivers Grows zombie horde of fans Enters Nerf cycle Disappointing DLC Is "dying" after 18 months
-
The internet should be age restricted to 18+ so I don't have to see vomit like this
-
Duck into a forest in New York City... Have you even paid attention to the trailers? And it's not just like destiny. It's a clunky third person knockoff. It will be fun but it won't beat destinys gun play.
-
Itll never be destiny.
-
It won't be the new destiny has it has zero in common with destiny.

1 RespuestaThe division has its own problems. A good game but I'd say it'll get repetitive real fast. Then there's the feeling that everything is a bit too much on the tanky side. It needs manual jumping ability and non urban play areas. Now if they added different full size maps in expansions like say London and Tokyo, then that'd do a lot. But it still feels like it's on rails. Kinda like destiny. Go here open this door. Giving the setting I don't think it'll have puzzle elements to end game pve either. The dark zone was pretty fun though, but trolls and PKers will quickly ruin that. It'll just turn into team death match or free for all depending on who groups up. Which is ironic since at its core the dark zone is a pve area. It is a pve area with friendly fire enabled. Players kill players to steal loot, but the loot is originally dropped by pve enemies. The base concept is pretty fun and tense though. Creates a prisoner's dilemma. The trick to making it work will be the consequences of going rogue. The overall disadvantage must be pretty high to prevent all players from doing so.

Except that you have a big -blam!-ing target above your head that can be seen across the map through everything and are visible on everyone's radar. Cause: some asshat walked in front of your LOF and died while trying to kill an elite NPC for a chance at that blue gear.

2 RespuestasBeta is boring and gun mechanics suck

5 RespuestasHow are you gonna hide when you run around with a big red skull?
-
I think it will play nicely along side destiny cos they are both good games and will fill the gaps the other one is leaving

2 RespuestasNo forests haha but yeah, it's fun.

8 RespuestasEditado por C Moth: 2/2/2016 7:09:30 AMA problem they've already identified is overestimating their audience. They apparently thought that the idea of being a rogue would be a rare thing because of the "being hunted" aspect. But, they've discovered that there are so many ganking douche bags who play video games that they are lining up to do it. The Division will be like DayZ all over again. Might as well just give up on any form of successful cooperative play that means anything. The Dark Zones will have a million individuals ganking each other. The Cooperative areas will have the same 6 people. I'm starting to think that teenagers can't even spell cooperation let alone know how. Eta: Before you hate on me consider what open world pvp would be like in Destiny. Go ahead, try and figure out how you would get ANYTHING done in pve. I'll wait.

6 RespuestasIt's an RPG with awful gunplay. The ideas and concepts are good but it's mostly mash up of other games. I also can't imagine it will have the longevity of destiny. Not many people will be playing the division 18 months after launch I do like the darkness zone idea but the game to me just doesn't flow together
-
You won't be doing that to folk on your own. Also you're lit up like a Christmas tree for all to see. You also have to extract your ill-gotten loot.
unless your in a group of like-minded arseholes: you're screwed
3 RespuestasNah it's shit

"Gun them all down"? Have you played this game? That's not how this works. That's not how any of this works. Unless you have 150 round clip on your M1, you won't gun down more than two people. Maybe
-
The gunplay is terrible in the division, destiny has its issues for sure but in the most important part of the game destiny is miles better.
-
New disappointment yes
-
It'll last 4 weeks. The end game and map will all be paid DLC.

1 RespuestaSounds like unorganized chaos, the Beta was underwhelming, it didn't leave me feeling excited like the Destiny Beta
