If Shoulder Charge is a one-hit- to the body, Throwing Knives should be a one-hit to the head.

These take skill to actually land precision shots with. They're ultimately useless right now.
Edit: I get it. Some of you are new. The original Destiny community agreed with me when Throwing Knives were nerfed. You guys must of joined around the time TTK came out.

2 RespuestasHeh I remember one time in Trials I threw my throwing knife right as the match started and it ended up making contact with a guy as soon as he came around the corner. Headshot one hit kill.

Shoulder Charge is a skill tree unlockable perk. Throwing Knife is a melee ability. They are somewhat unrelated, though I can see your point

3 RespuestasIf I got pummeled by a 110 kg man wearing a full suit of armor going 100 km/h in real life I would most likely die. With the knife to the head I might have a chance to survive. Seems like it's just like it's supposed to be.

I was thinking that but then again it would be a little op. Maybe if they made an exotic gauntlet that increases the burn on throwing knives in exchange for a longer charge time

I can't speak for the rest of you but to me it practically never happens. How often do I get killed by shoulder charge? Basically every time there's a striker on the other team. Should we continue? Do you think throwing knives are on par with the 20 ft melee range of warlocks - who also can spec for an additional shield? How about grenades with a radius that cover most areas in this POS CQB game, follwed by having to stay in cover until the dot falls off? The point is that almost every ability in this game is over the top wacky/gimmicky yet you draw the line on a throwing knife. Does not compute!

Anyone do the part of the gunslinger challenge where you had to get throwing knife kills? Ikora said something in quest description that i thought really put them in perspective: "whether your leading up or following through with a throwing knife, is the difference between an arogant hunter or a desperate one.", or something like that.

1 RespuestaNo thanks. I enjoy hand cannon/throwing knife too much currently. I like having knives on demand. I can have a knife all the time, compared to having a one hit kill that can miss every two minutes.

Max striker Titan combined with an arc boosting chest plate grants the ability to survive shoulder charge, this is the equivalent to the ram but it doesn't require an exotic slot

I have like 110k on my hunter and I use gunslinger almost exclusively. I think throwing knives are fine the way they are
