Why meta players are bad
Meta players are bad because they cannot think for themselves. These are the people that follow the crowd in real life. They have to use the meta to even be able to play and get anything accomplished. It sickens me. I just don't get it.

People use what will give them the best results, it isn't being skilled or not, or following the crowd. What it is, is that weapon balance is kinda bad in destiny which makes a certain type of gun or individual gun way more powerful than the others. People are going to use what will help them win. In sweaty games, you don't see people using Necrochasm with a fusion, that's because the people doing the sweats are trying to win. Just like pubs, people are doing the same thing, the wanna win. So, next time think about what you are going to say before you actually think about it dude. I use the META and it does WAY better than weapons not included inside the META.

There's a real reason for rage regarding dying in Destiny and I don't think it has anything to do with what guns people use. My theory is this. The rage caused by dying to "insert weapon here" is more about the frustration caused by deaths in general, in Destiny. For instance - you die, it takes a few seconds to respawn back in, then when you do, it takes another 15 seconds to run back to a place where the action is ,only to possibly be killed by the same gun. I'd like to see a chart of time spent running back to the action in PvP. I bet it's well over half of your time spent in crucible if you're a 1 k/d player.

There are other weapons that are good besides the meta. But most people don't bother to find them. They just use what everyone else uses. Everyone says that hand cannons are useless but I do rather well with my finnala's peril and ace of spades. people need to take more time to figure out what fits them best and destiny needs to a better job of making sure that every play style can be equally effective.

95% use the meta so only 5% are any good.

The problem isn't people using weapons within the meta, the problem is the fact that Bungie are incompetent and can't balance for shit. Every time they try to balance, only around 5 weapons end up being the go-to. If they stopped failing so miserably with every balance patch, the "meta" would include so much more diversity..
