I think some people can be too overwhelmed with adds ogres and knights but I've also found if the group has a bad connection or adds and Oryx are not moving fluiently it has a higher chance for failing the front platforms are tougher for some because of the ship coming in but like they other guy said if you have a good relic runner your fine

8 RespuestasEditado por Hot Tasty Grits: 1/14/2016 9:28:22 PMFinished it quite a few times and this is what I have learned: 1. You need 1 decent relic runner that can move along at a good clip and is confident enough to handle the vessel himself. He will also tell the group that he has the relic and they can collapse to the middle where the Titans are waiting with their bubbles as a safe zone. 2. If you are on a back platform , throw a grenade down to help with the Ogres and then lean out to the edge and look for your knight. If your on the third platform, take your time, get your headshot and finish the knight with a body shot. If your not confident enough for a sniper shot , simply use a rocket launcher. No one will care as long as you get him. By the time your knight goes down, the relic runner will have made it around and you can make your way to the bubbles in the middle. 3. It's good to have two titans in the middle but you don't always need two. 1 will suffice with another player that does the same thing. Titans are nice though. The two titans will normally look for the fourth knight and obliterate him while everyone is getting ready for Oryx to slam. 4. I prefer the 8 and 8 strat because it is a confidence builder for weaker teams and gives you a little margin for error if you see you will need 1 more round. Technically the math is all the same but people tend to panic as the pressure builds. I also find it easier for to stun Oryx, clear the front and back adds and then have 1 designated person to count down from 3. Upon counting down everyone disperses from the middle and heads to their orbs. One of the middle players will pick up the 4th orb. Designate ahead of time. I prefer to count down from the middle and disperse because it is less likely for one of the players to get killed by an un seen add that we missed as they are standing outside of the Orb waiting on the countdown. 5. The shade: machine guns work like a charm on her. Remind the outer players that she is charging although they can actually hear the difference in the theme music if they are listening. While inside, stay along the outer edge when the shade is coming in. I run circles. Some people use a self sacrificing warlock which is okay as well. It gives them something to do. 6. The rotation for Oryx will always be front, back, then front again. So head to your designated section whenever you exit the shade. 7. If your a confident player, stay confident. It's nice to see confident platform guys help with the new guy's knight and then still be good enough to smoke his own. Even though he may not say it, believe me he is thankful that you were there and assisted him when he was stressing out over possibly missing his head shot. 8. There are much better players than me and I acknowledge this. Their are better ways to perform the end procedure but this seems the easiest way to get the new guys through. Don't blame each other. If you are lacking on the part your assigned, please tell someone. Someone who is a better player will step up and help you push through. Believe me, confident gamers like the challenge and the credit so do not worry, I hope this helps, gotta go and good luck.

1 RespuestaEditado por goatbilly07: 1/17/2016 2:12:20 AMI have never tried it. People have to axtual do any raid a few times to get it. How stupid Can you be?
-
Tell me about it, I was in a group yesterday that struggled all the way through the raid and when we got to daughters my team acted as if it was there first time doing it. They couldn't do anything right. And funny thing is, 4 others including me had the oryx challenge emblem. This told me that these guys were all carried at the challenge mode bc they were terrible. I told them that I couldn't take it anymore and left. That's why if I go on the forum to recruit, I have strict requirements because I don't need my time being wasted to ppl who suck at the raid at this point. Especially if you are 317 or 318 light and still run it like its your first time. If I am on a team that knows the mechanics and only die because of things they can't help then it's fine. But wipe after wipe, no I won't stay. It's too easy by now.

1 RespuestaNo matchmaking which means less people are bothered to do it which results in playing the raid once every so often

10 RespuestasEditado por EARWAK3R: 1/14/2016 5:09:13 PMHard oryx! Man...theres idiots at 315-316 -blam!-ing dying at the totems still! Or trying to pull off some kind of 'cheese' , i had to bounce on a full team of complete morons the other day running around with fusion rifles and shottys at totems instead of sniper. Wouldnt listen, couldnt kill knights, couldnt stop knights reaching the left and right. Dying to wizards....jesus. Its been 4 months!!!...if your not good at the raid by now just quit.

5 RespuestasPeople just don't have the mental capacity I guess. That's why I hate casuals. No focus, no purpose. Don't do the raid if you have the nerve to say "I don't want to get it done as bad as you."
-
2 RespuestasBecause no one cares and rewards aren't worth it? I've done one normal raid and have no desire to do another.
-
2 RespuestasYou got to find year one raiders that have been around since VOG dropped and good luck with that lol there is few of us left

People can't get knights
-
Once you learn the mechanics, Oryx might be the easiest part of the raid. You're invincible half the time. Then, you have to snipe a knight with the head the size of a beach ball. The most dangerous part is in the shade, which is very predictable.

Because it's to many scrubs!

I feel bad for them tbh lol

Cause noobs

Did hard oryx once. Would never so again
-
No it's when you join a team at HM oryx and half of them go "HOLY SHIT ORYX IS HUGE!"

2 RespuestasBritish nature documentary narrator voice: The Oryx fight challenges a lot of people due to the additional information required to complete it: counting to 3 and knowing what counterclockwise means. Often, the average LFG person will know one, but forget the other. In all seriousness, you're stepping on some buttons. Its not that hard.

Many of the pros just don't help out the people who can't do it
-
I've been trying to do totems since reset, every single damn group is full of idiots who die on the first rotation or last.
-
1 RespuestaWhen you join a fireteam at Oryx you can usually tell in about 2-3 runs whether the group is capable of doing it or not, more often than not it's a no...

When Im bored I spam the forums with posts offering help to teach people and no1 asks

Editado por Daddy Chill (Adept): 1/16/2016 5:16:55 AMBecause people like you don't want to teach anyone. The only thing people run the raid for is loot, unfortunately. Most people want to finish the raid and get their loot as fast as they can, no time to explain and teach people. Because of this mentality a huge portion of the community really doesn't care about completing it. The rewards are to increase your light, but increasing your light only makes running the raid easier, it's a never ending cycle. Players don't need to run the raid to get higher light for the raid because they don't run the raid in the first place! You need 310 light at the most to compete in trials efficiently vs 320s at the maximum. Higher is better, but lower is manageable.

I don't know, it seems so easy. Even my first time I just couldn't understand what kept going wrong.....well I knew what, just didn't know why.
