Thomas had been sitting peacefully in a plaza, but then he noticed a group of five people... But not people, they looked to be analyzing everything. They walked towards Thomas, he just sat that, pretending nothing was wrong... Eating chimichangas. As they drew closer the metamorphosised into war bots.
"Oh shit..."
He stood up quickly and swung his staff at the nearest one, denting it, his eyes shone with electric energy which he unleashed on the nearest on, causing it to overload and explode.
"One down... Four to go..."
He ran his staff through another bot's shoulder, causing it to fall off. He then froze the insides of the bot, and watched it fall apart. He then fired a massive heart wave at the third melting it. Thomas looked to the fourth and fifth.
"RRAAAGHHH!!"
He slammed his staff into the ground causing the earth to open up and swallow the last two. He quickly closed up the earth to make sure they didn't have the chance to fly out.
"That... That was interesting..."
He sat down again and picked his chimichangas.
"I should've left one mostly intact... I could've studied it."
He starts eating again.

A team of mechanicus priest hurry into the plaza. Each one seperating as they set up a series of beacons around the bodies.
-
"What the fuçk?"
-
Self forming crates cover the bodies and then are moved onto a single meshed tarp. As if on cue a salvaged Vertibird breaks the roof line. A single cord drops and is subsequently connected to the corners of the mesh before lifting them and flying away. "Mechanicus business. Omnisiah protects." A Senior priest says as he acknowledges the man as if he just walked up.
-
"What's the old saying? 'To the victor go the spoils'? Well, you just took the spoils, makes it my business, buddy."
-
"They are being sent to a secured location for their machine spirits to be stripped bare and judged before the Omnisiah. If their spirits are deemed worthy of redemption they will be repurposed as servants of the omnisiah. If not they will be deconstructed and their machine spirit removed as to remove the taint of this corruption of the Get Fabricators will." The mechanicus says flatly as he tinkers with a data slate.

The people in the plaza had fled with screaming fits in the fear of the moment. A couple of abandoned shops, others with hiding occupants who finally peeked out, but in particular one woman stood alone from the scene. She never budged. There were armed bodyguards with her and she had stopped just coming out of a small shop when the whole thing happened. Taking the scene in she took a step forward toward the mess only for one of her bodyguards to place a heavy hand on her frail shoulder. To this she whipped around and chided him with a pointed finger. A moment that really only looked silly.
-
Thomas coughed on his chimichangas.
-
The noise recaptured the woman's attention. She approached. Her shoulder length red hair was braided to the side. She wore a sleeveless creme dress. Closer up one could make out that she was pregnant. Her frame looked terribly fragile though. As if she was still recovering. Piercing and serious blue eyes stared at the chimichanga eating individual before her. Her presence was a mixture of innocent intimidation and childish interest. She was blunt. "Where did you get that good?"
-
"Honestly?" He shrugged. "I think around the time the Roman empire was just coming into power..."
-
She shakes her head and stomps a foot. "Food!" Pointing at the chimichanga emphatically she continues. "Where did you get the food?"
-
"Oh these!!" He pointed at the Mexican restaurant in the plaza.
Hahahaha
-
She nods and turns to walk away towards the restaurant. "Thank you~!" Suddenly she stops. Turning back she looks even more frustrated than before. Composing herself she returns. She points to the food. "I don't know what that is called."
-
"Chimichangas."
-
"Ah! Kimihuengas."
-
"No. CHIMICHANGAS." He pronounced the word slowly.
-
"Oh! Chinilengua?" She pauses with a hopeful look, but as she thinks about it she realizes she is incorrect. Her face falls. "We are too hungry to be playing a spelling B. Could you please help me order?" She says a little exasperated.
-
"Eh... Sure." He gets up, but not before stuffing the rest of his chimichangas in his mouth.
-
"Thank you." She walks to the restaurant and begins the order. The bodyguards blend into the scene. The woman doesn't feel any less babysat, but not that she minded either. So she ordered as she saw fit and could for the bodyguards. Then when it came to herself, "... Large soda, add those things to it. Yes I think that's it for them. Ah for me.... Um well I'd need a large soda, no make that a tea. Regular or sweet? Oh... Eh who cares, make it a sweet tea.... Erm lots of sugar... Please. Then... Oh 10 of those..." She looked back over her shoulder.
-
"Chimichangas."
-
With bright eyes she whips her head around. "THAT!!! I want 10 of those... For me." She says a little embarrassed. Turning to the stranger she asks. "Is there anything you wanted?"
-
"I already ate."
-
"Ah ok. What was your name?" She asks curiously.
-
"Thomas."
-
"Thomas." She repeats his name as though storing it with the current memory. "Good, thank you Thomas you've been extraordinarily helpful. I won't forget this." She then left and took a seat at a booth.
