What do you think? I personally think it's a bit lame that you can be killed when you aren't able to control your character. IMO that is the opponents fault for allowing the person to revive the fallen player in the first place.
Edit: this isn't about the act of reviving or specifically about sniping. This is about being able to die without having control of your character.
Edit: a lot of great responses on both sides of the argument.
Edit: I see a lot of people makin assumption about how the player died or the scenario in which they are being revived. In the question I posed the way they died is irrelevant and how or where they are revived are irrelevant as well. For all you know they may have died in an epic gun fight. And for all you know there may have been nobody around when the revive happened but as soon as the revive happens someone pops out and one shots them and they have no way to dodge or counter. People keep talking about rewarding the player that died but there is no reward their is a cumulative timer and there team has to get the revive.
Edit: a lot of people saying the poll is biased but nobody can seem to mention how it's biased.

What if they like gave the person being revived like a chance at dodging out of the way, like the boost at the start in mariokart (but from n64 days) so that if you can time your dodge at the sound of the revive you can either roll away to safety. Or, you get a shield high enough to prevent a rez snipe but the shield deteriorates like super fast and could even dip into your health to punish you. We just need a new innovative mechanic that would just add another layer of depth to it. Don't oversimplify the solution, build on the issue and make the solution something that will add another layer of gameplay depth

8 RespuestasPush the dude who's getting revived.
-
Res sniping is pretty broken in its currents state. I mean we all do it But it's -blam!-ing obnoxious the ResER and the ResEE both get over shield.
-
Who ever revive kills is trash
-
1 RespuestaIf you go down, you stay down Or have a limited amount of revives per round
-
3 RespuestasIt's easy to not at Rez sniped
-
1 RespuestaGiven the fact that you can bring someone back in the game in like 2s and both of you get a shield, people should be able to pick you off.
-
I feel like the shield for revs should be pve exlusive and should stay out of pvp :p i dont play to much trials or skirmish or scavange but jesus...
-
Huge head protection to avoid one bangs from revivals and lowered body protection to make it still possible to kill a revived, just impossible to cross map one bang.
-
6 RespuestasThe overshield just needs to be a bit stronger the only thing that can rez snipe is a powerful sniper like the spindle
-
6 RespuestasId vote for immunity during the animation. But neither player gets an overshield.
-
2 RespuestasGetting sniped when you just rez is annoying, especially with most people sniping now...it just gives snipers another advantage. I know this isnt about sniping though...but thats the only time it feels cheap dying in the revive animation as a team of 3 snipers sniping from absolute safety makes it impossible to revive a team mate and its game over once you lose one person. However if we remove the ability to kill someone right after they rez...I think fast rez gear should be removed. Overshield should only be in PvE or at least only the person reviving not the person revived. Overall though, it seems there are two sides to the revive issue but despite that I think there should be changes.

Neither should get a shield. Especially in trials.

2 RespuestasYou shouldnt die in the first place

4 RespuestasEditado por SIG_DA_COW: 1/9/2016 12:45:32 AMThe reviver sucks if you get killed again. What they SHOULD do is jump in front of you while you're getting up so that the sniper's aim assist tracks em off target. Edit: Prett sure that's the intent of the overshield that happens AFTER revival
-
2 RespuestasIt's perfect how it is, actually it's a bit more advantageous for the team that's being revived because they get overshield. Plus the player getting revived is IMMUNE during the animation. If you get revived and shot again, that's completely on you and your team for either.. 1) Not calling out that snipers are watching your orb. 2) Your teammate failed to counter the enemy or push you after being revived.
-
I think there should not be revives.
-
6 RespuestasGet rid of the overshield altogether. People complaining about getting rez sniped but don't realize they should be at a disadvantage for dying.
-
Editado por zOmgLynn: 1/9/2016 12:55:12 AMI personally think its dumb in a game mode that is named "Elimination" you can revive people.
-
Editado por Bowix: 1/9/2016 12:44:16 AMTbh I never understood the logic of the person rezing getting an overshield.. I mean if this is war, and you need to give some meds to a fallen soldier, you have no power. The only one getting the meds is the fallen soldier
-
5 RespuestasThe animation should have invincibility. Once you can finally able to move and look its fair game.
-
6 RespuestasIts your fault you're dead in the first place, why should we just let you revive?
-
Add immunity however revives take longer so if someone is revived when they are in close combat they can't be literally a running tank. Also if fast res armour is on it removes immunity
-
The over shield should only last during the animation, not after. This can allow a successful res plus doesn't prevent being rewarded for dying. Some people use dying as a ploy to strategically get two thirds of the team a shield and clutch the win.
-
1 RespuestaI just hate how shields work. It's annoying that because someone gets a Rez I cannot kill them because of the shield they get. They are essentially getting rewarded for doing nothing. And unless you have a special out you automatically lose that fight.

1 RespuestaA bias poll that fails, is when you know you are very wrong
