Why do the majority of people hate Nintendo?
Many great games are made but people deny them. I don't know if it is the [i]cool[/i] thing to do, but it's dumb as hell to hate a great company just because it may appeal more to young gamers. Hell, Destiny is only rated T.

The 16-bit era was glorious... The N64 and GameCube had their moments too. When they refused to go to HD with the Wii years ago, I was pretty unimpressed. I will agree that the Wii really shines with party games and exercise stuff, but anything that resembled a "normal" game was pretty awkward and felt like 90s throwback. I assume the Wii U fixed a lot of that. But the damage was done by then. Well, the damage was done in the late 90s when they lost Metal Gear and Final Fantasy to Sony. There was no coming back from that. Nintendo has also stressed since the 80s that video games were toys. Mainly to distance themselves from the failure of the Atari and the rest of the US game industry. That mentality carried on, they have had a handful of mature titles over the years. But as their fan base got older, they kept trying to sell toys and "fun" as it it was a commodity. And I'm rambling.

What's funny is it's usually younger kids who hate on Nintendo.

1. They keep putting Metroid, Starfox, and basically anything that ain't Mario or Zelda on the back burner. 2. They decided to go gimmicky with the Wii, which worked well enough since they had good games, but the Wii U crossed the line for me. NX needs to be 100% focused on gaming, not gimmicks.

The Wii u is a good side console to me as my Xbox is my favourite but I still play some of the Wii u games still

Because there are 8282919 pokemon Because Mario has saved Peach in another castle 738292 times Because Link has saved Hyrule 728292 times Their games are quality, I won't deny that. They just have re-used the same formulas for all of their games for decades. Regardles of things like "the cat suit", or the "fairy type", they are still mechanically the same games.

Don't hate them, but there aren't enough games to get me to buy a Wii u though I do have a 3ds. I would love to try Xenoblade Chronicles X, but again that's a Wii u thing.

I'm 35 years old and Nintendo was all I played when I was younger. I still play Nintendo and will always play Nintendo. How many more times must I mention "Nintendo" in this comment?

My main problem is with the people who only say stuff like "I don't like them because they just remake the same kind of games over and over again". Literally every game company does that, this is not a legitimate argument nor is it a Decent reason to hate on 1 company.

Runs like poo on the 3DS and there are tons of hackers online using powersaves and homebrew. Shit was worse on the psp if I remember correctly, but they need to release monster hunter to consoles.

I don't hate them, I just hate their release times, it's like summer year round for nintendo. Also they don't make sequels to some.of their best games instead make a new game entirely that is hit or miss.

I don't hate Nintendo. I just prefer to play games like elderscrolls and fallout. I even ocassionally enjoy playing some zelda 4 swords or pokemon.

2 RespuestasThey release the same games year after year. The only new IP they've launched in the past like 5 years is Splatoon. That and they're too focused on family friendly games
