Game is 15 months old.
They're devoting time to developing Destiny 2.
This is a normal part of the cycle in a franchise expected to last 10 years.

I liked the quarterly DLC's. I don't care for what year 2 has offered. The festival of the lost was so -blam!-ing stupid, I paid no attention to it. At least the sparrow racing is interesting and new. Something good has to drop in the next few months as nothing worthwhile has happened since TTK.

I agree with you, the did say that the next even will be similar to festival of the lost and the one after will be loaded with content. I guess we will have to wait and see.

Bungie retracted their statement that destiny will last 10 years. They said they have a 10 year contract with Activision so my guess is they will abandon destiny for another IP franchise within 3-4 years.

The single game won't last 10 years. Already explained the Destiny series will last 10 years, but that includes destiny 2 and 3. With each lasting about 3 years with DLC. Although destiny 1 looks like it won't last the 3 years.

Cod makes that much every year and people hate that game just as much, if not more than destiny. That's because people fall for the hype and BUY THE GAME. Of course the sales did well, that was before we knew about all the bs that the game had. Everyone thought they were getting an awesome finished game, not a half assed thrown together piece of shit. The player base IS DYING. Matchmaking takes longer. Lfg is emptier now. Why do you think they never show the numbers?

Im actually always invited to help with bosses after a man drops out or if they just cant get a 6th, i never actively seek to groupe up for the raid because i dont care. I have given my spot at oryx multiple times because i just dont care anymore about the game. When i play i mess around with a few strikes or pvp alittle then i take the game out because its -blam!-ing boring. The challenge modes are dumb, and the sparrow racing is -blam!-ing stupid. Im usually playing another game when i get an invite to the raid, yea ill help but im not down for hours of duying just to maybe get some gear higher than 310, id rather bang my wife, eat, take a shit and watch a movie, play fallout, in that order.

Regardless of what their budget is or how much they made is irrelevant if they can't maintain the current population. Yes destiny did well in sales but only because we all fell for it like a bunch of tards. We thought we were getting an expansive open world fps mmo, not a limited content grindfest with shitty multiplayer that nerfs every goddamn useable thing in the game every 3-4 months. Once they started doing the time gating and putting even more things behind RNG, I decided I was done. The game used to be fun to me and I really enjoy it but it feels more like a job than a game and I already have a good job, I don't need a second one, especially one that doesn't reward you hardly ever.

If you don't like it that's completely fine but to say the game is dead is a stupid statement especially when you're listing improper information. How would you now the tower and LFG are dead when you haven't played in months. The game is constantly improving and the Meta is the best it has ever been. Just delete your characters and be done and call it a day.

Lol. It's always been a 10 year contract with Activision and Destiny is [i]wildly[/i] successful. You use the word 'abandon' like its a sinking ship. Destiny is hardly that. It's among the most successful titles of the last 3 generations.

I kinda agree but to me this isn't like say dead space, bioshock, God of war etc....just throwing out examples. This model has been different from the beginning I think destiny lives or dies based on dlc. This isint like other games where I buy it play through it a few times without expecting any major additions and then wait for the next one. Perhaps you are right they are following the old business model but I think that's like trying to fit a square peg in a round hole.
