People don't want the old raids
Face it people, you don't really want the old raids updated. What you really want is your year 1 weapons/armor back.
Edit: just to simplify. Updating the old raids sounds wonderful, it really does, but not right now. They can take all those ideas and implement them in y4 and it would be the best thing ever. If they did it now people would just get bored of it after a few weeks and demand new content, which segways into my main point.
They need to spend their precious time just making new content to play. Trying to make new stuff AND bringing up the old would just call for half assed attempts, just like year one.

3 RespuestasLight level 320 will be converted to lvl 32 when inside an old instance, where enemies will be lvl 33. It will be called the legacy mode and will award gear that is only competitive in that mode and you can get lvl 34 with that gear only in legacy instances. Also some new exotic that is tied to modern day thru time and can be obtained by lvling to 34 and beating both Crota and Atheon in a unique way (challenge). Quest chain will open, when you have the full lvl 34 legacy set. Same set will drop in CE and VOG to make it less grindy.

3 RespuestasI wonder how the team who put together VOG feel. I know if i was part of the team who designed that raid and then have bungie make it useless, I'd be a little upset (especially since everyone thinks so highly of it). For me personally, i think the Oryx raid is the best and VOG is not that far behind. It's definitely fun. Crota we all know is more of a strike than a raid (even when you don't have a hunter pass the 1st part and have titans go on top the towers for the 2nd part). The whole "raid" done legitely wouldn't take more than 20 minutes. But just like another poster said, the raid and the loot go hand in hand. Ascendent material is still useful to change into glimmer and motes but other than that, VOG and Crota offer nothing. What's so hard with making those same raids a bit higher level and making the loot year 2 friendly? Nothing.

Considering I enjoyed doing the old raids I'd say yea, I want them back [quote]But they are still there you aren't locked out[/quote] Part of the fun was getting gear so don't try that argument. I woke up every reset excited to do raids now I just hate doing Kings Fall, it's more of a chore and less enjoyable... It may be the longest raid to date but that doesn't make it as enjoyable as doing VoG or Crota. All in all, I miss year 1...

Vault of glass challenge mode that runs for a week, Crota challenge mode that runs for a week, IB for a week, trials for a week. Boom Bungie just did your monthly scheduling, make it happen. Challenge modes would make the raids just as hard as KF on hard, running them for a week, once a month would be pretty sweet imo

6 RespuestasI'd happily do year one raids without the old weapons, they can create completely new ones if they want, I just don't see the point in leaving behind all that work. If they updated both of the last two raids that would be at least a month - two months of extra content straight away.

I'd love them to update the old raids with a random boss and enemy type. Like a challenge mode for the entire raid. Different mechanics with different enemies. Etc.
