This is a genuine question, not bait or anything, I was just wondering why some people choose to have 3 of the same class instead of one of each? (Aside from the easy light transition/leveling) I just want to hear some peoples reasoning behind it!

4 RespuestasI've got all 3, but my hunter is neglected as hell. I main my Titan and have fun with my Warlock, my Hunter just sits in his ship in orbit and cries robot tears of abandonment.

3 RespuestasBack in vanilla Destiny it gave you 3 chances per week to get the raid armor you needed, which was the only way to reach the maximum light level. Now, with infusion, any classes armor can be infused into any other class gear. So, it's pointless now to have 3 of the same character

Preferred playing as a hunter Cut the grind in a major way Can perfect your armor for different events much quicker. As someone stated, I main'd the hunter and I used the other 2 for running 2nd and 3rds of nf/raids each week. Doesn't change you as a player, just saves many hours a week and makes the grind much less. Hopefully bungie will go to a system where your week is acct based, 3 of each event per week, per acct. Then we could all play however we wanted and have 3,2, or 1 and get the same stuff done. Elitist would bitch, but nothing can stop that, except pats on the ass and telling them how amazing they are at a video game.

3 RespuestasIt made sense back in year one of you did not have a lot of time to invest in 3 separate characters as there was not infusing and having to have full raid armor to hit the max light level took some luck. But now they made it so easy with infusing. You can infuse a Titian helm into a warlock helm. It would be a shame to not get the complete experience

Editado por reported error: 12/8/2015 12:07:18 PMI was doing it for these reasons -Rng is ridiculous even with 3 hunters I still wasn't getting top grade gear -You only ever main one character the other two are used for nightfall/raid so what is the point in running different classes when you realy think about it -The less you switch between different classes the more you perfect your main class -Once you have the gear set you want for a certain class you simply delete your two alts and start them fresh on another class giving you better chance at gear for that class. I was running 3 hunters till last week now I've still got my main hunter and 2 warlocks and after raiding on both warlocks this week il delete one and start again getting it ready for the weekend to have a 3rd warlock raid. Because let's face it strikes are boring as -blam!- and there is just no motivation in them anymore so why not grind out 1-40 each week

Editado por GasMonkey_NL: 12/8/2015 12:40:39 PMLess grind same fun for me that is. I had them all diffrent times just like the warlock the most so i concrntrate just on that. But i use 1 as main.

personally I used to have all classes, I just never played my Titan ever. deleted him to make another hunter, mainly so I can run the raid for hunter loot multiple times a week. I've kept my first character forever though, my warlock.
-
i've got a 'lock & a titan, but i imagine they do it to maximize weekly marks and other rewards without forcing themselves into wasting time with a play style they just don't enjoy.
-
I only bother with one of my Warlocks for the most part. The other two are around mainly for things like Nightfall just in case I'm able to solo the nightfalls. I play better as Warlocks than Titans or Hunters so it's better this way for me.
-
I have 2 hunters and a warlock bc I don't like Titans
-
Well, honestly, I wanted to make it easier to level up... And, I am lazy. I really only pour my heart and soul into one character in any game that I play...
-
2 RespuestasBecause it's what they want to play? I have a friend who is sick of shitty drops on his main and good ones on his alts, if you could raid, nightfall, etc 3 times a week on any single character he'd love to have all 3, but now he has 2 and 1
-
Why do people have to be such dicks on these forums? Don't even bother replying to them, OP.
-
2 Respuestaswhy not?
-
3 RespuestasI would imagine that they like the class much more than the other two and have each one a different subclass...if they have the same class and subclass on all three then I'm lost
-
2 Respuestas"Back in the Day" People did it to get extra chances at Hard Raid Armor drops-specifically the Helmets. And because Warlocks are scrubs, or something like that.
Maybe they just didn't like the other classes?
-
I would have 3 titans, as I prefer the supers & the jump mostly, (all about that jump bro!) but I cannot bring myself to delete the Hunter I started day one. Also, I no longer find I have the time to level my second titan, in case any one asks. I have already deleted one full titan & a warlock prior to TTK. So ... much... time.... all gone... all lost...

Class preference.
