Yup. In fact we get the shit we deserve. We failed as a community...buying useless crap for real money totally destroyed the progress of Destiny. They're focused on squeezing out more money with microtransactions with little to no effort instead of improving/expanding the game with real new content.
Just look at what we've got since the Drop of Taken King around 3months ago and what we'll get the next weeks/months:
- Timegated quests/exotics we already paid for with The Taken King.
- A vendor that sells useless crap for real money.
- A halloween event focused on selling more useless crap for real money.
- A questline focused on baiting new players to buy the game.
- More timegated exotics we've already posessed or paid for.
- Another event focused on selling more useless crap for real money.
Not a single word on real new content. That's our fault by helping Tess Everis to be the biggest profit machine the game could have. The funny thing is: Most of the sheep are happy with it and defend it.

This guy gets it. Notice how this 3 week event coincides with their holiday vacation time too. All that silver sold got them some nice bonuses. We just bought all their kids new pools and free trips to Disney world.
-
hahaha, awesome
-
Good can't wait to see those happy faces!
-
You could do everything in the Halloween event for free. Saying it was focused on making money is ridiculous.
-
Never said it wasn't free. Just stated that it was made to sell silver, that's all.
-
Uhhh... it was focused on making money. They made the event because they could make money off of it. You COULD do everything for free, but the entire thing was made to have people spend real money. Let's look at both sides of people who participated in the event fully. You could... A) Spend money and get all masks in legendary form in a matter of minutes. B) Spend an absurd amount of time collecting masks only to be able to keep 1 legendary mask and MAAAAYBE keep another if the original legendary package had glue in it. If you wanted to keep your rare masks? Well, you need to put up the money for it, otherwise all the work you put in was basically for nothing. So yeah, it was "free", but it was made to encourage players to spend real life money.
-
Lol they are masks. It's 100% cosmetic. Who cares? It was fun :)
-
Not getting the point, are you?
-
Not if you think it is ok to overreact about some childish shit like that
-
Yeah, because that first hit of crack is always free, right?
-
Not if they already know your mom. Or if it's strawberry flavored. Get your facts straight
-
Wow, you really showed your maturity by making a mom comment there. Put me right in my place.
-
I wasn't talking about YOUR mom lol. Just saying if someone walks up to a crack dealer and he's like "yo can I get a hit?" But the dealer already knows that persons mom is a crack head you know he ain't trying to give that person a hit and if it's strawberry flavored he ain't gettin it anyway :)

Editado por Insomniatron: 12/6/2015 8:19:28 PMAlright, let's get real here I guess. Destiny is a product, so the whole point of anything it does is to make money. Game launch, make money. DLC, money. We're paying customers. There have been a few things "added" to the game that were not available initial launch. Iron Banner, Queen's event, etc. I don't really consider Iron Banner "extra" content because it was advertised very early on. And there's not a lot of content in this game in general, so you could argue that any regular event is just overdue content. But they have done a couple things here and there that were just "for fun" for their already paying customers. But when it comes to the Festival, it wasn't something initially planned or advertised. The entire thing could be done for free, minus a route to cosmetics (grind or buy masks, buy new emotes). Nothing you could buy had any affect on the event itself (except to speed it along), or on the actual gameplay of Destiny once the event was over. They undoubtedly hoped to make some money off of it, and they even mentioned as much; if we want to see more events, participate, and maybe drop some cash. But you could do the entire thing for free. They probably won't drop any numbers on this, but I assume most people didn't spend any money. Most people probably didn't even participate all that much (active players vs casuals). So they dropped some new content that was 99% free to attain all of it, required crazy grind to collect items (consistent with everything else in this game), and they told people to possibly throw down some cash if they wanted to see more. While I hope that they don't use this as an excuse to start micro-transactioning the shit out of this game, if anything it was basically free content with an offer to promote more content in the future. I personally bought the Thriller dance because I have disposable income, I liked the value proposition of "here's some free shit, but support more if you want," and Michael Jackson is the undisputed motherf*ing King of Pop and claiming he did anything wrong is just ignorant, you're all just ignorant.
-
Everything in Destiny takes an absurd amount of time to grind for, your exaggerated counterpoint is irrelevant.

Blue Skull Helm, the Emotes? Lies
-
The Blue Skull helm was grindable, just rare. They also added some new emotes, but they had nothing to do with completing the event activities.
-
It was not grindable, moron. Stop being a Desticle, your fanboy act is pathetic.
-
If you don't like it, leave dick head
-
People reported seeing it drop in bags. I don't think I've ever seen anyone confirm that it's only available from that first bag or from silver. HURR DURR FANBOY DESTICLE yeah no. I'm one of the more vocal critics of this game. I just disagreed with OP. So take your typical forum nonsense and wrap it around a broomstick and push that broomstick around your house with your ass.
-
No! That damn Blue Skull was only RNG from the Legendary Packs! AKA: Here's your first pack. Oh, didn't get it? Spend $9000 more!
-
So it must anger you to the point of tears knowing that i, someone with a job, will be buying everything I want then. My money, my choices, your sufdering. Sounds like a win.
-
Yup. But don't get angry when there will be no new DLC this year or even in January/February. Be happy with it since you're part of the problem that caused this fact.
