So...Bungie is finally starting to implement fun into their game, and people are bitching about it?
I guess I can't say I'm surprised, but really people? This game is lacking one fundamental factor in videogames; fun. Halo knew how to have tons of fun with itself, that's what made it so great. Now the live team is going to add a harmless, fun feature and it's getting shit on already... I'm disappointed.
When I saw this announcement I was overcome with joy. It's a [b]huge[/b] sign that bungie is starting to remember how to have fun with games again. I can't wait to see what they'll do in the future.

We paid enough already for the game/DLC's, yet to have fun we are expected to pay more? It says it's free but no doubt you will need silver for useful stuff.... This is quickly becoming "Destiny-crush Saga"

I would rather have nice packed DLCS over petty events that only have a few hours of gameplay. Not to mention that micro transactions are the main part.

I was happy then I saw the micro transaction bs again. Watch We can only earn 1-2 sparrows meanwhile Tess Everest will have like 10.

Racing games are not my cup of tea. I do however enjoy killing aliens. I wanted more of the killing aliens part. It's not a bad thing by any means, just not what I was hoping for.

The problem is instead of getting new dlcs we are getting timed events tied to micro transactions. If Bungie and Activision make enough money with these events there will be less motivation to create more content. Less strikes, pvp maps, story missions and raids. Why spend resources creating more dlc when people will spend the same amount trying to get a mask that cost very little to program. In the end we end up with less content but people will have cool masks and dope sparrows.

I'm with you I'm glad they have sparrow racing. I'm glad I'm a day one player as well and I've been wanting this forever so -blam!- everybody who doesn't want it. They don't need to play not a requirement.

If I would've known this is how Destiny would turn out, I would've never bought the game. Microtransactions, whether they're cosmetic or not really annoy me. Everything should be obtainable without the need for real money. I've spent enough of my money on this game for lackluster content. They finally add something that many people wanted, but not because people wanted it, just so they can milk more money out of the dwindling playerbase until people are fed up with the whole game in general. This isn't a sign that Bungie is remembering how to have fun with games again, it's Bungie realizing people like you will waste money on stupid 3 week events like this, guess what? This is going to be a new trend for Destiny, every couple months there's going to be another cash grab expertly disguised as a "fun event", but the only way to really get the most out of these events is to spend real money, has nothing to do with making fun content, just another cash grab in most people's eyes.

Its all about persepctive. OP sees it as a welcome addition. Others see it as an excuse for lack of content Others see it as a money grab Bungie alone knows the motive behind introducing sparrow races. It will last 3 weeks and we will know how many players actually wanted it.

Yeah I wanted sparrow racing as a fun side thing to do with friends not a temporary yearly event for gear progression that likely wont allow you to go into with more than 3 friends.

I'm always the first to point out problems with Destiny. However this time it seems like this will be a breath of fresh air for some of us. I've been playing since beta, and personally I'm looking forward to a new competitive aspect to this game.

It's not that I dislike the concept But we already have a way to race sparrows I'd rather they offered a few new crucible maps Or a new strike Maybe a few new story missions Or better challenge modes for the raiders But instead link sparrow racing to silver so that actiwhore can get more money Yes it's just cosmetics But why do all the quests if people can just buy the same things

2 RespuestasMaybe no one cares because year1 it was asked for. Lets think here for a second the dlc from year 1 was mostly old missions run backwards cost to do less than making new minus of course poe and crota raid. Lets say u bought the pass so $35 is what u spent. Many games where you drop that much cash (not alot for some) you would expect alot more. But you sat look at all the playtime you got out of that money. While true however i spent same or less on games and have way more playtime in them. If a large part was asking for this in year one and get it in year 2 at a time when sure people log on but my playtime went from 5 hours a night to 2 a week as new games came out and also not much to do now. A 10 page friends list on ps4 is down to 8 people maybe on average playing now while 50+ people at any given time are playing other stuff and not all of it is new games either. I cant be the only person with this experience on here. This is nothing but an attempt to get more people to play and for longer than they do as is. The game isnt dead but it is wounded. To much grind for nothing and its pointless to most of us now. There is nothing pve wise that is challenging for people 310+. This move is not a good one it comes across as pathetic to most as we know the game has slowed way down. And for the record i could care less for racing either way if it did come when people where asking all the time or now in this state the game is in.

5 RespuestasEditado por mJORG77: 12/7/2015 10:44:08 PMok let me explain , its like when your doctor tries to treat a nail infection on your leg and end up amputating both legs because he is retarded(weapon un-balancing 2.0, raid rewards, bugs,too many things relying on rng etc), the amputation points are continiousely bleeding and hurting for months and no doctors help you with it as you try not to die from the bloodloss (quit the game), then you learn that they are now going to cut off your arm too (weapon unbalancing 2.5) ,i am sorry but just because that one other doctor finaly understood you had a problem with sun in the morning being in your face and installed curtains to your room (sparrow racing)you are not going to be fine
