I've been collecting them to decrypt once the update is live (hopefully tomorrow). I have majority of them all from year one, I'd just rather decrypt to have them drop at 310 rather than have to level those things up from 280 if they were purchased from the kiosk. Anyone else doing this? I'm on Xbox one and will be running a lot of strikes tonight if anyone is interested in joining up and doing work!
Edit: it worked assholes all of you can go -blam!- yourselves and be salty with no new exotics!

Just got mida, armamentarium, and twilight garrison all at 310. Suck it haters.
-
Yup, just got The Ram out of an engram I got last week on my titan, opened today on my warlock :)

1 RespuestaExactly! The combination of condescension and stupidity from so many posters was absolutely ridiculous...and how hilarious to revisit. I have 20 exotic engrams ready to decrypt that I've been saving for the past month.

3 RespuestasI have been collecting legendary marks. I currently have 425 marks saved up. (Save your trials bounties that give you marks) so I can buy a three off the wall day one. Also saving stuff to infuse them up.

10 RespuestasEditado por Calaway049: 12/3/2015 8:31:36 PMI'm saving them, but not going out of my way to collect them. If it works, great. I'll have a head start on the grind. If it doesn't, oh well. Same infusion fodder than if I decrypted them now. Either way, I can't lose. I'll either win or break even. The engrams from different eras (vanilla, Dark Below, etc) are coded differently. They appear the same from a players perspective (same name and sprite) but have a different code. While it's confirmed they do this with each era, its not confirmed if they do this for each patch. While I'm not holding my breath, it is still very possible that this strategy will pay off. As for the people saying engrams are determined when you pick them up, this have been proven false. An example is players (myself included) picking up exotic engrams while under 300, and waiting to decrypt them after breaking 300. If this claim were true, all of the saved exotics would have been 290, but those who saved saw a mix of 310s and 290s. Now all of this doesn't mean Bungie won't do something to prevent those who saved from getting new exotics, but there's also no proof that it's already been done. Only time will tell. And like I already said, if all we get is "old" exotics, then its the same infusion fodder that I'd get now.

2 RespuestasThey're gonna wind up doing what they always do and lock engrams to this patch. Why don't people get this yet?

1 RespuestaI'm 309 light and dropped a 290 Hawkmoon from an engram last night, there are no guarantees my friend
-
6 RespuestasNOOOOOOOOOOB!!!! that type of thing doesn't work, they will only decrypt into something that's available at the engram's time of drop
-
Will be useless, since Engrams are time spam, so you wont have a single exotic from the new ones. Already tested is past DLC and Updates.
-
3 RespuestasGot 72 legendary and exotic engrams in the vault

1 RespuestaI was gonna decrypt a Primary Exotic Engram and someone in my raid team pointed out to save it for the update. Now I'm deciding if I should decrypt it or not.

Editado por Noiprox: 12/4/2015 5:16:59 AMWhy do so many people think this is a major update or dlc type change? They are just adding new items to the existing exotic loot table, hell some people already got the new titan and hunter chest (Twilight Garrison and ATS/8) back when TTK released: https://youtu.be/J5JjHjWbXEs?t=93

Me! I have 5 primary and 4 special So far

1 RespuestaThis has been happening for every release. Engrams acquired pre release of new exotics will not contain these new exotics.
-
1 RespuestaItems are locked in with their rng code when picked up- light level is to be determined when turning the item in based on where you're at on the scale. You'll have better chances when you're already well above 300-310 to land more 310's. But when it comes what it is- it's picked from the available data base at the time. So all your new stuff isn't going to magically change what you already picked up because those new exotics weren't in the loot pool at that time.

No....cause don't care

Editado por Damage805: 12/4/2015 4:30:17 AMThe replies to this post are just too entertaining. You Guardians are total Savages. Keep'em coming. *EDIT* The Full Retard reply just kills me. Love it.

I would've, if they ever dropped for me.

I don't know why people aren't at least trying...this isn't like the previous dlcs. Before would have an entirely new weapon/armo sets with a different insignia related to that dlc. This update will still be the taken king so why couldn't it work?
-
Ppl been trying this for longest now every time lol ppl never learn or just new

I am saving them.
