Is this game dying?
Booted up the ps3, for ease as its in the front room. Strikes, lvl36, no players, put me in solo, for maybe 6 strikes I tried. Tried PvP, searching for guardians it said, 2/12, after 10 mins 6/12. Think I'll try to raid or trial, check out out lfg, dead, nothing. No post in like 9 hrs!
Wanting to play, take my coffee upstairs n boot up the ps4
Try strikes, again no players. Finally get 2 guys, after 7 mins, 1st level 190, I'm 310, n the other 240 is afk n red bar.
Try crucible, searching guardians for 5 mins, get a game, control, 3v4, n my 2 team mates only spawn in after 2 mins. Several games in diff modes of joining games 3 v 5 n losing by 10'000, or starting games n 3/4 the Libby are red bar.
I'm from the UK, my internet is great, so not me.
All my allies have quit, I didn't realize everyone else had too :((

Yeah its dead, even time locked exotics couldnt bring it back to life. There is one mythical gun that rngesus used to bless people with, that could destroy any boss, but unfortunately bungie is leaving the atheons epilogue in year 1... [spoiler]jk we all know I was talking about gally. If they bring that back I'll come back[/spoiler]

If you have to ask if the game is dying, then it's not dying. When the game is honestly approaching death, you will KNOW when it happens.

Alot of my fellow guardians have dropped out because they say the loot system for the hard raid is messed up. U beat warpriest n only get molded cheese ? Come on bungie do u want people to keep playing ? Make the game worth playing in hard mode! I finished the hard raid on my hunter this past week n got molded cheese and a antiquated rune from beating oryx ! Enough said!

its not "dying" but a lot less people play it.. at least on my friends list. and ive added shitloads off people durig destiny.. it is still my mosted played game by far but im fed up with it right now..

A lot of people are moving to the current generation consoles plus the game is slowing down.

I had 145 friends online last night. 12 was playing Destiny. Yes, it would seem people have lost intrest in this game. Atleast for now.

I stopped playing 8 weeks ago. Took over an hour to get a raid team together, and gave up after 4 joined. This game has been on life support for a while now.

The only place I struggle is strikes. I have to use my clan for that now if I don't want to solo it. I don't think it's dying as such yet as numbers were always going to dip as people started playing some of the many new decent games that have recently been released. Whether large enough numbers stay away from Destiny or come back periodically could determine if it dies or not. Compared to CoD's their number dip significantly each year around 9 months after release and only pick up again as they release a new CoD every 12 months. Without that, they'd never maintain the numbers Destiny has for 12+ months. I myself have been playing Battlefront a lot, but still pop on Destiny every so ofte, just not as frequently. I still think many will come back to destiny at some point. Maybe over Christmas or December holiday period.
