People complain a lot about sunbreakers the majority of them are main hunters, they complain that sunbreakers are OP but they forgot that in year 1 they were OP too.
-
No that's not true. Everyone complains about. The titans are the one who complain about hunter complaining. Based on 0 facts
-
So because hunters HAD a op class which was nerfed to the point where it's useless in pve so that means that Titans should keep their op class? LMFAO!!!!! Shut the -blam!- already seriously kid.
-
See, what some hunters don't know is that nightstalkers CANCEL supers, like sunbreaker.

19 RespuestasEditado por Ghostfire239: 12/2/2015 9:45:20 PMWhile I may like how the Sunbreaker plays it really is OP. The fact is that, for a roaming super it has REALLY strong damage resistance. Now having that much armor wouldn't be a problem if it were a close range super but it is not, it's a medium-close range super (It can be long ranged too but it plays best at these ranges). Throw cauterized into the mix and you have a Super that has very good kill potential, little weaknesses, and has very little ways to counter it. The ways to counter a HoS are mostly under very specific circumstances. What do I do if I don't have a good sniper or a ranged shotgun? What do I do if I don't have heavy ammo? What if I don't have my super? Other roaming supers have ways to counter them or don't have that much kill potential. You may bring up Bladedancer or Golden gun as very similars super seeing as they are roaming supers with a lot of kill potential which is very true. However, Bladedancer is a melee super (Bladedancer also has a bit of a bug going on recently in which some hits do not register.) and can be sniped and even taken down by primaries. Golden Gun has a decent sum of killing potential (Great if you are using combustion on tightly grouped enemies). Golden gun is very good for long ranged one hit kills however it has no damage resistance and 3 shots to keep it balanced. It also has a 11 second timer if you don't fire anything (I maybe a couple seconds off), and while circle of life may increase its duration it is VERY situational seeing as throwing knife do not get one hit kills so you need to find someone who has already taken damage. From what I've heard HoS lasts about 25 seconds without throwing anything (This is what I've heard but I'm not sure) which makes it one of the longest supers in the game, Stormtrance being the longest. However Stormtrance needs to have a perk in which both its melee and grenades have to be fully charge for this to happen thus Making HoS the Super with the longest base timer. So if we take look at HoS it has the VERY high damage reduction, a forgiving amount of time to get kills, a high kill potential, and healing after kills. I won't talk about Warlock supers seeing as I haven't looked into how their subclasses work all that much. Please don't take offence to this Warlocks I will study your arts one day in the near furture. I know someone will most likely say running or jumping is a good counter which is true sometimes. Running can make them waste their super however when you go against a team with several Sunbreakers you'll find yourself running away more often than you are killing, which isn't very fun. Jumping is decent for the most part except for those of you who use blink seeing as it has a cool down and well the Blink nerf (Here's a bit of a tip for Sunbreakers, Aim slightly, and I mean SLIGHTLY, above your jumping target and the hammer should hit them directly but make sure they are nearing their highest height of their jump.). While I have been bashing HoS, I don't want the super to be crippled. I think that if Bungie brings down the damage reduction from 55% to 50% should result in a more balanced super and less complaints. I don't have anything against its offensive play. I may find cauterized annoying because of HoS being a ranged super but I don't exactly have a way to fix that without breaking it. Perhaps having a 3 second cool down to compensate for the range may help, but like I said I don't know how that will affect HoS gameplay. So I think all HoS really needs to be a balanced super is a 5% reduction to the damage resistance so that a sniper headshot (1000 yard stare and Stillpiercer arch type) or Golden gun can one hit kill a HoS. That just my opinion though. And before someone says that a Max armor HoS can't survive a Golden gun shot here is video proof. If this doesn't convince you nothing will. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=D8id_gZkV18

No we werent, all our supers could get shutdown with a headshot from a sniper which happens a lot, a shot gun melee from someone, and for our bladedancer we had to be very close to get you with it. The titan could get you from anywhere they wanted to, and sometimes the splash damage would go through cover to kill people. The titans new super was way to op compared to the hunters in year 1.

11 RespuestasIf they nerf sunbreakers.. Then stormcaller is going to be the next op.
-
Read em and weep lol. Told you guys it was coming. The denial was real for so long.
-
Don't worry what bungie did to them is not really going to change anything. You will still be overpowered for another 3 or 4 months.
-
Too late... *sigh*

It's not a nerf.
-
It's not that bad of a nerf. They are simply making it so that they get one shot by high impact snipers, which is fair. Almost all other supers are one shot by high impact snipers as well. Plus, it's a roaming super with the capability to regen health on a kill, have damage reduction, do AOE damage, and have very generous range. It's fair. Deal with it.

Stupid post is stupid.
-
Well us hunters WERE op but we got nerfed too what does that have to do with it?(I wasn't a bladedancer during that time) Plus the changes don't seem that bad, it could've been worse
-
As a hunter main, I agree. I rather enjoy the challenge of fighting a Sunbreaker. Honestly, I find Stormcallers more difficult to deal with as I am a close range fighter.
-
1 RespuestaAll bungie needs to do is reduce the damage reduction to make it so high impact snipers can 1 shot it not destroy the subclass

HAHAHAHAHAHAAHA

2 RespuestasBungie has obviously learned from their mistakes. Hunters got nerfed, just because it took bungie a while to get around to it doesn't mean sunbreakers should get to be OP. Just think about the poor warlocks.
-
Well too bad they're getting nerfed
-
Then they got nerfed. Did you miss the key point.

11 RespuestasEditado por Halcyon: 12/4/2015 12:03:17 AMBruh i swear to -blam!-ing god. Bungie has a really bad habit of catering to filthy whiners. If they so much as touch Titans in any way that negatively influences their caliber, i'll consider myself on a permanent hiatus from Destiny. I don't even -blam!-ing main a Titan and even i know they're fine. Whatever kills a child in that damn crucible is enough to send the bastard on a nerf rant. It's sad really. Go ahead and keep doing what you're doing Bungie. Watch that player base hit rock bottom.

Lol suck it ya biatch sunbreakers!

Lmao. Read the weekly update and weep. Your crutch is being taken away.
