Hawkmoon
Armed with better base ADS Accuracy from the global Hand Cannon changes, Hawkmoon soared high above the pack as we playtested the new weapons. So high that all other Hand Cannons paled in comparison no matter the activity, and thus needed to have its wings clipped. Hawkmoon still hits hard, still has the largest magazine of any Hand Cannon, and can still 2-shot in the Crucible under lucky circumstances, but it won’t be as common with the new changes.
Changes:
Reduce base Range by 20.
Lucky bullets from both Luck in the Chamber and Holding Aces now deal 1.2x bonus damage (was 1.3x).
Oh my god. Hawkmoon didn't need nerfed with the arrival of TTK, and it certainly doesn't need nerfed now. It's meant to have great range. It's meant to have the capability of a 2 shot because it's exotic for a reason. Barely anybody uses Hawkmoon right now. Now nobody will. GG Bungie

Who uses Hand cannons? Who uses Hawkmoon? I have both y1 and y2... Can't see myself using them anytime soon.
-
Hawkmoon was fine. Hell hand cannons will still suck
-
I feel like they nerf the guns based on the amount of kills it had compared to the other guns. The problem with that is the most popular guns end up being nerfed because so many people use it, so it looks like it had many more kills compared to the rest of the guns,

1 RespuestaBump. I -blam!-ing hate bungie for this nerf.
-
I'll have to try it after the patch drops but that LitC/Holding Aces nerf does not look good... I agree on the range nerf, if Hand Cannons will be able to hit the targets I'm aiming at, It might be a mini-scout rifle again
-
At this point Hand Cannon should just be Special weapons/sidearms. Barely any reserve ammunition and no range.

Editado por iLL_Elegance: 11/20/2015 10:06:04 AMYou guys are comprehending it wrong. It says that with the ADS buff hand cannons are getting in December, that it was significantly better than all the others. They aren't nerfing it as it is now, it'll take effect after the buff.
-
It needed a range nerf with the accuracy increase. It already is one of the most accurate hand cannons with a two-shot ready almost every time.
-
It should be renamed pidgeon space junk.

The nerf on the last good handcannon out there you start pissing me of motherfckers

1 RespuestaTheir rational for nerfing is incredibly off base. Their data showed that it was the only hand canon being used. Well that's because hand cannons were nerfed so hard with ttk that it was the only viable one left. It really doesn't need any sort of nerf at this point. Implement the hand canon buff then assess. They won't though. Examples...... 1. Nerfed all hand cannons because of two exotics, instead of just addressing those two weapons. 2. Repeatedly nerfed suros because everyone was using it to complete the auto rifle bounty in the first iron banners. Instead of doing the logical thing in switching out the bounty to a different archetype. 3. Nerfed fusion rifles again after 2.0 because let's face it, bungie treats them like a red headed stepchild. 4. Removed final round only to introduce luck in the chamber immediately after. 5. Wondering why everyone find around with shotguns when all the new maps are close quarters. Head scratcher right there..... 6. Miss any? I'm sure I have. List below. I don't know who they have pouring over their data but they aren't looking at the big picture for the true cause/effect before making changes. Treat the disease, not the symptom.

Wisniewsky, I call out in the ways of old! I don't cry about weapon nerfs. Most of them were justified. But leave your stinkin' Hands of my beloved Silverfalcon!
-
Jeeze the hawkmoon didn't deserve a range nerf...
-
2 RespuestasBut they told you exactly why it needed the nerf. God forbid Bungie try to balance the game through playtesting.
-
It would be the next thorn if they didnt, I bet it'll preform just fine still

this won't work, and I don't use hawkmoon anymore, but Signed.

1 RespuestaHawkmoon is really good for a handcannon right now. When the handcannon buff and pulse nerf arive, hawkmoon would have denominated. It needed a nerf because of what it would be. Btw, exotics are meant to be unique not ultimate killing machines.
