Let me just start by saying that I never thought I would be "that guy" on the forums but here we go. The hype before TTK was unlike anything before. We thought we were getting a completely revitalized game that would, and I quote [i]"change the way we play Destiny"[/i] and it has (to a degree). Overall I think we can all agree that TTK was nothing like we expected to be. TTK added a few minuscule changes to Destiny: new story missions, new lore, new loot, [b][i][u]time gated[/u][/i][/b] exotics (which was a horrible idea by Bungie because quite frankly it's a cheap way to extend playtime), and finally a raid which don't get me wrong was a good raid but still comes nowhere near to topping VoG. Also don't forget the fact that debatably the most OP shotgun was awarded [b]as a quest reward[/b], let that sink in. Microtransactions overall were a good addition to the game as long as it doesn't become pay to win. Now let's talk about the "other" stuff that came with TTK. TTK brought probably the most unbalanced crucible meta to date. Worse than the Vex Mythoclast/Suros Meta, worse than the Thorn/TLW meta, and worse than any other meta for that matter. Quite frankly Bungie doesn't know how to balance Destiny, and that's just the cold truth. Don't get me wrong, this past year playing this game has probably been the best gaming experience I've ever had. That's why I'm making this post, I want to see this game succeed so I acknowledge its problems. Whether you choose to believe it or not, Destiny [b][i][u]is[/u][/i][/b] dying. It's not dead yet, but if Bungie keeps treating it how they have been, it will be soon enough. I just hope Bungie is able to make a turn for the better. Edit: again this is just my opinion Edit #2: A lot of people seem to be missing my point. I want this game to succeed, I honestly do. Put simply, Destiny is probably my favorite game that I have ever played. The point that I'm trying to get across is that Bungie has handled TTK very poorly and that if they continue to handle content this way, more and more people will leave over time. I'm not quite ready to give up Destiny but I'm also not going to play a game that feels like a drag to play.
