I went there around level 15. Place is a nightmare, so many mirelurks. Ialso happened to experience the most terrifying bug there also. As soon as I saw the abundance of hunters and killclaws I noped back inside that one guys basement only to be greeted by two killclaws. I panicked and quickly ran over to the guy inside the basement, hoping help me or at least he'd be able to agro the killclaws. Nope. I find him sitting down on the toilet watching dogmeat and I get slaughtered.
