Destiny's dead

Was playing Fallout 4 before work, it is awesome. Sure, there are some buggy things, but I was expecting it. I am loving it. Found myself spending an hour cleaning up my home town of junk. Then the weapon building is incredible. My friend is immersed into BO3, another is in Batman and my cousin is bored of Destiny and busy with school.. All 3 people I talked into buying this game have moved on, I had so many wishes for this game, but they have been dashed.... Can't wait to get home from work!!.....

Same here I'm sick of this fruitless daily grind of engram hunting and never getting anything above 299 unless it from the raid where half the time I get jack shit so as soon as fallout here I'm gone and I may not be back.

BO3 still get to use my supers but have an actual good story.

I'm feeling the same way. I realized that I can Play and Work for hours at a time and not gain anything in this game. In others you get rewarded for time and effort, in this game it's really random. Not to mention getting pigeon holed into using certain gear or guns just for the light. Every one looks the same now, no style, and I get tired of using the same weapons all the time. So much potential wasted. It's not even worth buying exotics from Xur cause they are all 280 and I don't have marks and shards to upgrade. And if I did then I am just stuck wearing only that gear forever. Why don't they put a light level on the actual slot, primary, special, body, that never changes. Then anything you equip in that slot will be that same light. All this stupid gear juggling and infusing crap. Really just burnt out on the whole thing.

Well, in hopes that someone at Bungie will see this. I'd like to post my thoughts, which are different and yet similar. I'm not here to bash Destiny. It's a great game, I've been playing since day 1 (with a break during TDB because TDB seriously sucked IMO) and I don't mind the money or time spent. I'm not quitting the game forever. However, I would like to offer feedback to Bungie, even though honestly at this point I don't think they care. I have not completed HM Raid, I have not even completed the normal mode. Mainly because the trouble of going to third party sites to find a random group is not something I care to bother with. I am, at this point, completely unapologetic about taking such a lazy attitude towards that. I have all sorts of things in my house which I have bought for convenience's sake. My car has power doors and a power trunk, are they necessary? No. Are they convenient? Yes, very much so. Is an LFG system for this game necessary? No. Would it be convenient? Yes, very much so. At this point I'm stuck below 300 light with no way to proceed except for the Raid, which I plan to complete some day, but I'm in no rush. Overall, I really wish they would give all players a chance to reach max level, House of Wolves was much better in that regard and I really enjoyed being able to max out even though I only ever beat Skolas once. I also think they desperately need some in-game lfg tools. I shouldn't need my smartphone or computer handy in order to play a console game. Kind of defeats the purpose of playing on consoles, which is ease and simplicity. So I find myself with little to do besides level up alts as I've cleared every quest except those that are crucible heavy and those that involve the Raid. As I said, I'm not quitting forever. I plan on playing this week probably but rather than playing every night, I'll start working on some other games. Overall, again, a lot to love about this game. The shooting is great. Graphics are great. Story is actually interesting (if you read the Grimoire). The new strikes are very well designed. The new loot system is largely better. I have fun collecting and leveling up the gear and contrary to many, there really isn't much of a grind in that. Compared to many other games I've played, it's wonderful. I'm able to fully level up a gun in only a few hours of play, which is not something that happens in many other games, especially F2P ones. At this point I'm simply unable to meaningfully progress because of the Raid. So, that's my two cents for whatever it's worth. I'll probably try to tackle the Raid again this weekend (my first attempt never made it past the Totems) but it's time to start playing something besides Destiny every night.
