As a below average to average PvP player, I had no incentive to play trials year one and found myself getting absolutely destroyed with little to no reward. This was frustrating because it always became increasingly hard to find others to play with and eventually I found myself giving up on year one trials.
Now, the bounty system is great and kept me coming back to matches this time around. And all the people I played with were less rage-quitty and willing to continue playing, even after losing. Because of this, I was able to get more matches in and found myself becoming markedly improved as a trials player, even got to 8-0 and lost our flawless match 5-4 in a very fun and heart pounding fight. And, before you ask... yes, there were definitely moments and fights in that run that I was carried through. But, unlike year one, I now really don't want that to be the case, and will be honing my PvP skills throughout this week in anticipation for trials next weekend.
A couple other great things:
-maybe I'm just lucky, but i had no major issues with lag/glitches/cheaters/etc.
-found and played with some great people from lfg, no one cared that I hadn't ever been flawless and we had a blast
-messaged the guys that stopped our flawless, they were great sports and we congratulated them on getting theirs
Anyone else have a great trials experience last weekend?
Short version:
For the first time I completely enjoyed trials and can't wait for next weekend!
