[u][b]Battle of the Cyprus[/b][/u]
[u]Cyprus Prime Carrier[/u]
[b]Alarms blared throughout the Carrier
The hull had been breached, hundreds of intruders have been detected
The Dread had come
Slamming through the hull of Cyprus Prime, their Dropships released dozens of their soldiers each, who proceeded to slaughter the shocked personnel of the Ship
The security quickly adapted though, and mounted a defense against the assault, managing to hold off the Dread invaders
That is, until he arrived
A lone Drop Pod crashed through the Hanger Blast Doors, embedding itself in the floor
Security quickly encircled it, confident in their ability to down whatever emerged
The second the pod door shot off, they were doomed
Phantom emerged from the Pod, and proceeded to decapitate two of the guards, and dismember another
The remaining two opened fire, only for him to deflect it the bullets back at them[/b]
The Hanger is open. Begin Phase 2.
[b]At his word, dozens of Drop Pods followed through the doors, and the Elite of the Dread force emerged[/b]
Kill them. Leave no survivors. [b]

[b]Joshua drops from a ceiling onto a dread, impaling it with his blade.[/b]
-
[b]This draws the attention of several other Dread, who surround him[/b]
-
[b]He whirlwinds with the blade, and it send ice shards in all directions.[/b] "Is that all you've got?"

[b]The ice impales some of the Dread, while others shatter, as soldiers press forward their attack[/b]
-
[b]He swings horizontally, slicing two of their stomachs open, then leaps behind them.[/b]

[b]The remaining two switch to their rifles, and fire on him[/b]
-
[b]Ice shields raise to deflect the bullets, and Joshua runs up it, slicing one down the middle from above.[/b]

[b]The other roars at the death of his comrade, and lunges at him[/b]

[b]He counters, slashing its arm off then stabbing through its kneecap.[/b]

Ginger uncloaks from the wall panel, flanking behind one of the Dread Elite and pressing it against the wall. He slams his fist into its spine, shattering it, and then repeatedly in the head until it's helmet cars in through its skull. His ATLAS armor materializes around him; gauntlets forming around his arms, a fairly light chestpiece around his midriff, and his signature anti-gravity boots adorned his legs. In one hand he held a plasma blade, and on his shoulders antimatter beams whirred to life.

Matthew Hallwinter: ATLAS Super Soldier, Former Exalin Crew and Axion Team Member Combat Rating: 9.7 [b]Phantom looks at him for a moment[/b] New Priority. Eliminate Hallwinter. [b]The last of the Dread Elite walks towards him, carrying a Hard Light Shield and a Lance It charges[/b]

Ginger analyzed the Dread for its strengths and weaknesses. That lance would outrange his sword, and his sword would have to be used at a range that could neutralize that shield. In addition, the helmet that the Dread wore would hinder its vision, which worked in his favor. Instead of charging straight towards the Elite, Ginger slides at the last second, under the lance, and pops up right in front of the Dread. He bashes the shield aside with his right forearm and stabs the blade into its chest.

[b]The Dread roars with anger, yellow blood emerging from the wound It punches him away, and sluggishly starts to makes it way toward him again, its wound oozing[/b]

Ginger goes with the punch, using the force behind the blow to push him away. The stab clearly didn't kill the Dread, but it certainly weakened it; perhaps it would be wiser to let it tire itself out. Ginger stayed just out of range of the lance, circling his foe.

[b]The Dread swung wildly, attempting to either smack him aside with the lance in order to make a final strike, or kill him with the impact His movements became slower and slower, as his energy drained away[/b]

Ginger parried a stab that would have taken him in the chest, and did a quick strike that glanced off of the Dread's impressive armor. The plasma blade would only be effective if it was a powerful blow, and the Dread wasn't giving him that chance. Thinking quickly, Ginger swung the sword laterally in front of him, knocking the lance aside, and then tackles the Elite. He drives armored fingers through its helmet and into its eye sockets, then follows up with a punch to the jaw, and then a punch to the skull, crushing the Dread's brain with a sickening crunch. He gets up, dusts himself off, and searches for more hostiles.

[b]He sees that the others are finishing off their battles, and are moving to surround Phantom[/b] [spoiler]Ill make a new post when everyone is done[/spoiler]

Ginger keeps his blade active but stays back. Phantom was like a cornered animal, but one that always had a contingency plan. He turned on the ship's Interdictors, preventing August from warping out, and then helps cleaning up the remaining Dread. [spoiler]You don't need to reply to this, I'll just wait for your post. [/spoiler]

Vilnaks fires upon the mysterious Dread with his Shrapnel Launcher*

[b]They manage to hit a couple, gaining the attention of other soldiers, who return fire[/b]

He fires at the heads of the dread soldiers*

[b]He hits several, but others continue firing A stray shots hits a panel above him, causing it to fall[/b]
-
"Why are these things attacking us?" ge asks as he dodgrs the falling panel*
-
[b]This exposes him, allowing the Dread to get clear shots, which they take[/b]
-
He downs several before getting hit in his lower right arm*
