I'm an idiot because of my opinion? Another reason why this game is disappointing. Terrible community. I have played progressive games,MMO style games seem to do this without issue,weapons and items that have purpose and value,unique effects that actually make a difference, not tiny little half assed trinkets, the chance to be much stronger than someone because of your hard work. Variety. This game is based on the idea of the "no child left behind" bill. Oh you get a participation medal! Just like In these situations. What is the point of competing when it doesn't matter? It's a grind for nothing,grind solely for the level, being max level makes literally no difference. You don't get special skills when you get max level, you can't access particularly difficult parts of the game. You aren't obviously stronger than anyone. You don't get access to superior items. Everything is neutral and has no point. What's the fun of it? I play for fun,sure,but where is it? Doing the same raid over and over to pointlessly increase my level and get so called "end game" gear from the raids and trials(let's not even mention the fact that everything previous to kingsf all is now useless,including the old raids)that is no better than some legendary I can get from a random strike? No,im not an idiot, I'm just not an ignorant sheep. I enjoy destiny, but it's model is wrong and it's only addictive factor to it is the fact that it is completely reliant on Rng. Can you imagine,with this game being as easy as it is already,if you were rewarded particular things for doing particular events? If golgoroth dropped gauntlets and the lmg only? How long do you think destiny would have lasted if that was the case? Farmable gear as is with games of this style. This game would've died in less than 6 months, the pve isn't good,the content isn't good, the thing that has you stuck on destiny is the gambling, it's addictive and that's the bottom line. My opinion of the game being a bad model is what it is, but that is a straight fact, they replaced quality with gambling and they landed you hook line and sinker.

You're gear grind argument can be made for any progression model game ever. When you have everything you don't need anything. If that's why you're playing than you're always going to be disappointed.

In Diablo, the gear grind helps you complete higher level grifts that get progressively harder. The goal being to beat the highest level grift possible with your build. There is a need to get perfect gear in that game. Not this one. The raid is he only end game and that can be beaten with less than perfect gear. It can be also said for Diablo, perfect gear won't get you as far as the right build.
