The Festival of Lost Souls is what you'll be getting. Bungie said microtransactions will support the Live team. The Live Team doesn't build maps, they don't develop weapons. They facilitate events in the game world.
Don't blame Bungie or Activison for this. Blame the gaming sites who brewed up this mess. They are the ones the put this "news" out there.

Wow, what a Desticle. Do you realize Bungie had the opportunity to refute the idea that microtransactions would fund free DLC, however they passed on that offer?

"We have nothing to announce at this time." End of story. Period. Fin. They said "live team" and "quests". They didn't say "DLC". The only truth with regards to Destiny is what Bungie says or what they feed to magazines and web sites. Bungie did not feed to this story to anyone. It's complete and total fabrication, speculation and click baiting by the gaming media. If they don't say anything it's because they don't want to make the shit storm any worse. Kind of how your parents don't give you a yes or no answer the first five times you ask them if there is really a Santa Claus. So, Bungie sat quiet for a few weeks and watched what happened with the silver sales. And have no doubt, this festival silliness has been in the works for months, and probably ready to turn on days in advance of the event starting. They did not start working on this because 20% of the Destiny players bought the Carlton emote. Then Activison opened their mouths with some non-specific, non-binding comments and look: M-O-O-N... that spells "shit storm" If your panties are in a bunch over this, go show them to the gaming magazines and the YouTubers. Maybe they'll give a rat's ass.

I agree. I enjoyed trick or treating. I enjoyed collecting masks. However, I chose not to buy an emote because $7 is a little rich for my tastes. I didn't cough up cash for glue either because none of the masks were truely compelling. I have not been disappointed with the for DLC to date and I am happy to pay for it. Others may feel differently and call me a naive, filthy casual. But I'm fine with that.

That's the beauty I haven't spent a penny either and that's wat is great about it u don't have too it doesn't effect the actual content in the game and we get a little something for wtv celebration. We did get one free legendary mask and a free glue to keep wtv mask we would like. All for free if ur like myself.
