So wait...that big ball in the sky is the Traveler?
This whole time I just thought that sphere was some type of defense machine or something to that effect.
Lol I've been playing this over a year and didn't know this. I assumed the traveler was an unseen behind the scenes type of deal.
Stay away from drugs kids.
Edit: I'm dead serious, not satire. Where the blam was this in the story? I'm one of those people you have to point things out to. I've been wondering this entire time when are we going to do any mission in the massive ball in the sky and now I find out that's the traveler? A big dusty ass ball...
Edit: Apparently I goofed lol, the sad part of it is I've started and played through 3 classes through the alpha, beta, and vanilla destiny and somehow this managed to go over my head 9 times. I've let day 1 guardians down so I deserve whatever flaming I get...don't be too harsh

1 RespuestaSo this Festival of the Lost thing has apparently been really enlightening for a lot of people. I had a buddy tell me this exact same thing the other day. 3 maxed characters, no idea who the traveler was. When I asked what he thought that huge white ball was every time he was in the tower he just said "I never really thought about it." Crazy!

Yeah it could be easy to miss if you didn't make the connection. They show the traveler in the clips and talk about it, they just don't mention that the giant sphere that looks like the traveler is it. Either way, the traveler tried to flee and Rasputin prevented it from doing so. Now it's too damaged to do anything and is basically in a coma. The speaker is its representative.

Fück me.... A year!!!! That's a long time for the penny to drop! The speaker talks about the Traveler while looking at it at the cut scene at the end of the second mission, even stating he was born from it after the Collapse...

As im sure many people have said (cba to read the comments) but yeah literally the first cutscene in the game (with the Chinese astronauts) shows what the traveller is and where it is situated. Also kind of explains its name.
