I'm going to keep this rant as civil as possible. I'm just here to express my concerns for the game mode, not to throw a tantrum.
I'm going to set my points of defense before I continue any further:
• I have been playing since Year One and the launch of trials
• Trials mathematically only allows around 10%-20% of the player-base from accomplishing a flawless run
• Since the beginning of Trials of Osiris, there have been weapons and abilities that triumph others (eg. Thorn, Bladedancer, Pulse rifles, Sunbreaker, etc.)
This post is going to be a complaint about the Lighthouse and the requirements to get there. I have attempted many times to get there, but could not accomplish it. I have the skill for it and the experience for it. So why can't I get there? This is what I'm going to explain.
There are three main variables (two if you are a literal person) that can stop a persons run to the Lighthouse:
1. Your skill
2. Your teammates
3. Skill of your opponents
But I'm not here to talk about myself. I'm here on behalf of everyone who has not reached the promised land yet (especially if you have been fighting from the beginning).
Take in my third point of defense. The reason why I don't give an exact percentage is because of the number of variables there are to calculate, so I do not have the free time to come up with an exact equation, but I have thought it through and realized that is where the number falls. You do not need to be a mathematician to realize this is where the number falls. If you know, the number of players who have completed a raid is at 17% (PlayStation Trophy stats). This stat can carry over to Xbox Live due to the Law of Large Numbers. So it is safe to say that the number of players who have obtained a flawless card is around that range. It could even be less than 10%.
I'm proposing that the flawless requirement should be removed and make it that players only require nine wins regardless the number of loses. You will only get access to the chest if you go flawless. This will:
• Increase the percentage of the player-base to go to the Lighthouse
• Keep players playing even if they get a loss on their card
• But this will still give players incentive to get a flawless card, since they are getting a bonus reward by accessing the chest if a flawless run is accomplished
• Keeping the Lighthouse available for non-flawless players and the chest to only flawless players will separate those that want the grimoire and to explore the place from those that want the rewards
Bump if you agree

4 RespuestasI agree that having some "consolation" prize would incentivize more people to play it. Right now as it is, I just prefer not to waste my time with that.

Editado por Megalodon v1: 11/3/2015 8:19:35 PMI love how the pup kids are filtered out from getting gear. I love earning my Flawless gear. :33333

Playing Destiny does not require you to buy Destiny. Sign here

Editado por seraphic_thunder: 11/3/2015 7:57:26 PMThey need to put the old reward system back into place with a set light level from the vendor. That was the main reason for trying not to lose your card. Lighthouse was a bonus with a very strong incentive.

Sounds perfectly reasonable to me.

The weapons are the same.. Jus no extra perk

1 RespuestaYah I hear what your saying but why give the first place items to people who won 2nd and 3rd.

No gtfo

I'd say flawless players go to elimation in crucible or a separate bracket in trials for more rewards. Of course this is one flawless run per character. This should increase odds of newer players making it to the lighthouse and eliminate the pay to run system.

Your KD ratio explains everything

1 Respuesta
I have the skill for it and the experience for it.
You need to admit to yourself that this is a lie. You're lying to yourself and the community in this sentence. If this sentence wasn't a lie, you would never have made this post. In the time you'll spend creating/monitoring this post, you could have played multiple rumble matches and gotten a little better at PvP. The only respectable thing to do is rise to the challenge. Stop lying to yourself so that you can improve and someday earn your trip to the lighthouse like the rest of us. It wasn't any easier for us to get there...

Its like giving trophies to the losers.
-
Nope it's fine as is.
-
Either get 9-0 or just stop. These type of posts were so annoying in year 1 because everyone whined how they couldn't get flawless. Trials is suppose to be the most competitive PvP mode right now. It's not a hand out
-
Simple fix. One loss takes away 3 wins. Going negative kills the pass.
-
It's meant for people who are skilled at pvp , if you aren't you don't deserve to go to the lighthouse

Flawless or fail

Year 1 multiple flawless cards. The first few weeks i had never wanted something so bad then to reach the lighthouse when i did i was over tge moon. Year 2 after seeing the non adept weapons im more than happy getting the bounties done. Im not that bothered now its just not worth it anymore.

There is a better way to reach the lighthouse
git gud
3 RespuestasWhy would you want to go the lighthouse If you couldn't open the chest? That's like saying you want to go to the bank and just watch other people get money out.
-
1 RespuestaI bet this person is a democrat.
-
so make trials to easy? it's harder now i like that. every single person shouldn't be walking around with this emblem. it should mean something if you went flawless... not turn into another thing we farm 3 times a week till we get bored

1 RespuestaThis is what happens when whiny liberals are allowed to run classrooms and create more whiny liberals. I do t care if you payed just as much as the rest of us. I've yet to reach the lighthouse but I'm WORKING AND COMPETING trying to get there! Stop feeding the "give it to me because I don't wanna earn it" generation. God help y'all if the shit ever hits the fan and you actually have to fend for yourselves.
