Can hunters get a better subclass?
Sure, we have two top tier subclasses (AB & GG) and sure we needed a support class. But can we please get a subclass with an over shield or something?? I'm tired of going super and dying by everything because I get no bonus shield, unlike the titans 3 subclasses that grant over shield ( and HoS with its BS health regen) and the warlock who can self res and also have extra shield. I mean, come on bungie.
Edit: let me rephrase this slightly, out of all the subclasses in the game, the hunter is much more susceptible to death in their super compared to Titans and Warlocks. And I know Hunters are meant to be the main damage dealers Yada Yada Yada. I'm just saying, it sucks going into your super and dying to shotguns in one shot, dying to snipers in one shot, in some cases melee attacks in essentially one hit. Where as Titans and Warlocks don't have to worry about it as much, because of their shields.
Edit: I hope that when you read this, you don't think that I'm asking for GG 2.0 with crazy ridiculous shielding. Titans already have that with HoS, I'm simply asking for a subclass where we can survive through a barrage of gunfire like titans and warlocks can, where we don't have to run from the enemy just to survive.
Edit: My main point is this, I'm tired of playing offense as a hunter and I'm not interested in leveling up a titan.
Edit: A lot of people are using the argument, that "hunters are the aggressive class and they aren't suppose to tank any damage." Okay, then let me ask you this; why, then, does a tank class (titan) have an aggressive subclass( HoS)? Because by your logic, hunters deal damage, titans play defense, and warlocks play support, except HoS completely destroys your arguement.

3 RespuestasHunters are the high risk, high reward class. Gunslingers - You're very vunerable while using GG, but can quickly turn the tides of a little battle. BladeDancers - You have 50% damage reduction while in super and can make hella swings with your arc blade. You can wreck havoc on an entire area, but you have to get CLOSE. NightStalker - You've got your tether. You can drop it on a control zone and wipe an entire team if they're there, but you've gotta be quick on that gun, otherwise they'll still dominate you. High risk for a high reward. That's the way of the Hunter.

If any subclass is getting buffed (not crying for it, just IF one is getting buffed) make it the warlock Sunsinger. Sunsingers are susceptible to shotguns and snipers upon selfres, and self res is the only real defining feature of the class. So if someone is complaining about shadowshot not being enough of a support class, look at warlocks. They can't really support shit except by self reviving in situations like nightfalls and normal raids (and actually helping the team through revives)

I like the nightstalker the main problem right now it missing an entire ability......... They do get dmg resistance when shooting the bow...roughly the same amount as warlock gets when using Nova bomb. The bigger issue is the 1-2 second delay from shooting a bow and triggering the ability canceling effect. Unless you plan ahead of time and set a trap... 8 times out of 10 the sunbreaker will still kill you before the effect is triggered to stop their super.

Nightstalker dominates in PvE. Gunslinger and Bladedancer do very well in PvP. If you are consistently dying while mid-super, you either are activating it in the wide-open, or you don't know how to radar.

14 RespuestasGunslinger is a great subclass for PvP - arguably second best (after sunbreakers). They don't need damage resistance. Bladedancers actually do have a lot of damage resistance. I believe it's 50% which is the same as default FoH, Stormtrance, Radiance, Nightstalker and more than Nova Bomb. The problem is that it gets countered by most other supers and is easy to run away from. And the hit detection is also buggy ever since TTK released. Nightstalkers are a very viable PvP subclass with amazing skill tree abilities such as keen scout. They do get 50% damage resistance while activating their super (which is the same as Golden Gun if I'm not mistaken). The subclasses that need the most buffing are Striker and Voidwalker.

4 RespuestasGG- you kill so quickly from range you don't need shields. Throwing knife melee has best range to keep you at range so you require less shielding. Arc blade- it does have shields and is so quick it is hard to hit in the first place. Subclass also gets blink to avoid damage. Shadow shot- like you said it's a support super but that subclass is awesome. You get dodge roll and smoke bombs to avoid damage. [u]Hunters don't soak damage they avoid it.[/u]

I use nightstalker and I love it. Also as a support class it absolutely rocks... just about playing right

Nah... instead let's make the Warlock's Sunsinger subclass more supportive abilities with its super modifications. Say... Fireborn for example (also known as 'self-res' to the inferiors) should have two uses. One for 'selfish' playing and one for supportive. Keep the self revival but also add something like: "When alive and activating Radiance near an allied downed Guardian, instantly revive them." Yes, there can be balancing issues, but I just want people to stop criticizing my favorite subclass just because they are on the self-res hate bandwagon.

Because there is no tanking in PvP. The tank class got an extra 5%, for 30 seconds a game, instead of their usual none and minds were blown. Damage being all that matters that class needed something for pvp. Also. "Yeah we pretty much already have better options than the other classes, but I want to have all their options too". Way to be a stereotype.

I main my hunter closely followed by my warlock. ST can get one shot by a high impact sniper so your post is kinda a lie. Even yesterday during trials i ran into a team with 3 titans but luckily i had shadow shot so i shut down 2 of their supers. Honestly all you need is a good sniper, i have a couple videos where i two shot HoS. Sometimes they kill me but 70% of the time i pick them off. Its not hard

2 RespuestasHow about we just give hunters a god mode? Sounds reasonable right? I mean they have been severely held back since day one. I remember all those times playing in the crucible and seeing a Titan pop his bubble and run away in fear because of their sick weapons of light buff......oh wait no I'm mistaken I ran when I heard a blade dancer go off, or the distinct sound of the one shot one kill Golden Gun. Sorry your not the king of pvp anymore but don't worry sunbreakers will be nerfed in the December update so you can be back on top and complain about your support class not being support enough.
