Is halo over rated
I am a playstation user but i have had my fair share of xbox's so is halo over rated? [spoiler]i have never found it that good[/spoiler]

1 RespuestaNot really no. One of the few games where the hype is real. Well depending on the gamer I guess. I have been playing halo since CE came out, so since I was 9 years old or so. Halo is part of my life, I have been sky diving, sold drugs, been in orgies. But nothing beats the release of a new halo for me. Sad to say but my GF of 3 years just had her birthday today, I couldn't care less. Halo approaches!!! So yeah each to there own, but halo burns in my blood like the sizzle of the arbiter cutting though flood. Halo 5 Hype FTW

As an extreme Halo fan it did have its flaws and a few speed bumps along the way. But it's been an awesome trilogy. I definitely don't think it's overrated but everyone has there own opinion and are entitled to that :). It's been an incredible game none the less!

No. Halo is great. I say it isn't overrated because most Halo fans admit Halo's mistakes. Like Halo 4 sucked. Halo: Reach was awesome but took a wrong direction. Halo 5 is Halo's last chance but so far looks great. [spoiler]it will be great to play in a competitive multiplayer environment again[/spoiler]

No. It completely changed the competitive multiplayer in gaming. If you enjoy any fps pvp, thank halo. If you've never found it interesting then obviously it's over rated for you but not to many other people. The majority rules.

The old ones have overrated and overpraised campaigns. The only thing they have going for themselves is the level design.

It depends. I think Halo 3 was over rated and I still don't understand why people like Reach so much... I personally prefer 2/4/ and everything I've seen from 5 but that'll be a later judgement

Better story than destiny. Better lore. Gameplay can be stale at some points, but they have an excellent universe. They should make something to open it up like halo online. I'm talking about ships, Spartans, different worlds and shit. Honestly there are only two games that make exploring the universe fun, challenging, expansive, and interesting: Mass effect Star Wars knights of the old republic

It hasn't been the industry lead in console shooters since probably halo 3, as many other shooters have since matched it. Still a pretty great franchise but not the God that some claim it to be. The one thing that I will say halo does better than any other shooter, is custom games. In every installment since halo ce, players have been able to tweak many aspects of the game to make a simple gametype like slayer play almost entirely different from the default version. Most shooters nowadays barely even let you have private matches, let alone anything on the level of halo customization. The is the one reason I always go back to halo.

It depends on the success from halo5. As far as sales and marketing? No, it's not. And although some will argue that 4 was the worst, the numbers of its sales were great and it did attract a lot of COD players which were a majority then. I myself love the series and especially its lore and I consider its universe as one of the greatest sci fi stories of this generation. I don't have an Xbox one and will probably miss out on 5 but I hope in my gut it's gonna be a shit storm of greatness.
