Luke Smith prefers kinetic primaries
Well gosh that's nice for you Luke. I'm happy that you're making yourself happy. How many Destiny players are there? Oh just you? Well then you're doing the right thing. Except that you're not, because there are actually a few million Destiny players aren't there? But don't mind us, quite a few will be leaving your "sandbox" soon anyway. Your arrogant prlckish ways are sealing your own fate, and everyone at Bung-gie. People throwing money at you feels glorious I'm sure, but when that 10 year plan flops at 3 or 4 because you're only making yourself happy, I'm afraid too many doors will close for you. With any luck they'll hit your a§§ on the way out. I love this game, but every time I turn around you're jerking us around, and I am really wondering how much longer I can stand it.
Edit: wow this post sounds super salty, my apologies fellow guardians... Note to self: Be awake for at least 30 mins before posting. Great feedback though, seems like you guys don't mind losing damage types for primaries.

Edit: Again I apologize for my saltiness, but damn you all have kept a great discussion here. Excellent points from both sides of the fence everybody! Here's my final thought for now: I can understand a reworking of the primary elementals. I just cannot support removing them, because they are a useful, fun aspect of the game. I enjoyed them. Never have used them as a crutch, simply enjoyed them. Having them does not limit the diversity encountered in gameplay in my opinion and I see I am not alone. So come on Bungie! Let us enjoy this aspect, give us something useful for our efforts and for the love of pew pew stop trying to control how we play!

3 RespuestasI hate the excuse. "So you use different weapons." Really? Cause if I don't need to use a specific weapon for a purpose I just use my favorites. At least be honest/think out your excuses. OR if that it the real reason then Smith is kind of slow as well as arrogant. Either way, I don't really mind, I just wish there was a bit more honesty between Bungie and it's user base.

5 RespuestasTbh it makes the game more of a challenge. Oh what you have to use a secondary to take down a captains shield, that is so terrible. Maybe try thinking of it like this. You actually have to plan the level out to correspond with your other weapons. Stop bitching and grow up. If you wanted the game to be how you wanted it then why didn't you make it. 8 RespuestasElemental primaries limit the number of useable weapons at end game. It's better to have choice. I think some weapons need some balancing (Hung Jury) but overall it's a better direction.

They should make it so all weapons deal elemental damage.

If people want the game to be a challenge, equip all white weapons. They are free to do that. What does that have to do with my preference to want to use elemental primaries? Sounds like Luke Smith got some counseling from Stalin.

My solution would be to implement infusion of elementals into legendaries. Not talking about infusing an old weapon but perhaps a new raid type encounter in which RNG could drop an elemental frame. The frame could be taken to the gunsmith and you could pay your marks and glimmer, as well as trade the weapon of choice and elemental frame to. Have a day wait or even wait till weekly reset before you could pick up your elemental infused weapon. This would exclude exotics of course. A lot could be done with this to make it more of a grind which seems to be what bungee tends to do. For example having say 3 different frames for each element in varying potency. Also make frames specific to weapon slot. Would also be nice to have 2 viable raids at the same time instead of just out dating the existing raids when the new one comes I out.

1 RespuestaI want them to bring back all the raids and put them at 310 light level. Each week, each raid will have a different burn and other nightfall style modifiers. The raid weapons drop at 310 with the weekly burn element. Imagine having arc or void VoC. Plus, it's a good way to make the old raids fun, relevant, and challenging again.

In my opinipn either all primary should get burn or none. It narrowed down you opions for serious PvE in year 1.

I think all exotic primaries should be elemental. Also, we could add twist of fate to weapons to change their burn. They said they didn't want everybody using a select few weapons due to elemental damage, that just means they need to add elemental damage to more weapons for added variety. Just food for thought.

Here's what everyone keeps forgetting, they are taking content we paid for completely or retooling and reskinning then giving back to us in worse form than it was before. Black spindle, and imago loop are just some examples of this. Then expecting us to be happy. It's ok though there is still "new content" that is behind time locked doors guys!! It opens only once better games drop. You know there will be a new exotic quest the day Halo 5 drops. It's ridiculous. I paid for this game, give it to me. Give me back the weapons that made my guardian feel like a guardian and not some pansy assshat trying to please everyone.
