You're free to disagree, but I strongly prefer the breadth of arsenal options, the potential of finding a better Legendary than you have to being stuck because of a damage color.
Additionally, no Legendary weapons with damage colors has the property of making secondaries and heavies more important because of their damage color.[/i][/b]

This is what Bungie should do. Create a sort of item kind of like the crux or the item used for aidelon ally(sp) and have it be an element core, and you could use it for anything be it primary, secondary, or heavy. Find said item take to gunsmith have him infuse your gun to be elemental or change current element. Then you would have diversity. I think everyone could have there favorite gun be elemental and you wouldn't see the same loadouts.

Everyone still uses all the same weapons. And all legendaries pretty much have the same stats no matter what you choose.

It doesn't make a difference people will always use the best weapon available most people are using the hung jury and the grasp right now and it just makes night falls stupid with that match game modifier because you can barely damage shielded enemies without going into your inventory and switching weapons multiple times throughout nightfall and it basically removes the whole reason to do the hard mode as well.

I think if they're gonna do this then they need to make kinetic damage do extra damage to unshielded majors. Use a special or heavy to take out the shield then pull out kinetic primary to finish him off

1 RespuestaI'm ok with no elemental primaries on legendary, it allows for more variety. But I think there should be two more exotic primaries with one of the other elements each to compliment the Supercell's arc to really make them feel exotic.

ABOUT. FUN. HELLO BUNGIE! Where is your interest in max fun. Because your just like. Oh hey you enjoy that bam. Here's a fix that'll take that away. I do really think a consumable to choose our types of elemental would make a lot of gamers happy and keep us playing. Let me know what you guys think. Expecially bungie. I'd like to hear what the excuse for this is. Maybe it would make the game easier. But it is also wasting the money we spent on a game. Sencerly a die hard destiny fan and gamer.

3 RespuestasIt's funny that some people are angry about that. They don't realise that it means FREE CHOICE OF WEAPON. That's the point of bungies decision. And it was a good one. Before, everyone felt to have the raid mains, cause of their unique elemental dmg. Now you can feel free in your choice

4 RespuestasIf they are so worried about limiting the selection of weapons due to primaries with elemental damage, they could scale the VoG and CE to match the levels of hard mode KF and make them all drop their elemental primaries and other weapons at 310-320 light. But apparently getting the best weapons available from what is supposed to be the biggest challenge in Destiny is a bad thing. A weapon you can buy from a vendor (Hung Jury) is 10x better than any of the raid primaries attainable from hard mode KF, and that is sad.

1 RespuestaLet me preface this by saying: I loved my Y1 raid primaries, my Adept weapons, and even my Skolas elemental primaries. But I DO see the wisdom in this. Destiny had become entirely focused on these weapons, and we had definitely come to expect these as the means to wreck bosses quickly with corresponding burns. I think there were many cool guns that you just couldn't use, when each week we had become entitled to a "burn" and it was seen as irresponsible not to use the same group of weapons each week. Tell me you didn't ever question why your buddy would choose his Hawkmoon etc in a solar burn instead of his VOC, and judge his decision lol. I'll miss them, but I think this is good for the game.

I've thought about it and still think having an element infusion would be they way to go. I still always used snipers and shottys and MGs and rockets. The elemental primary never took away from that. Elemental primaries were the ultimate loot in year one. That's why I did the raids over and over. If you blow your infusion on a gun, then find another gun you think would be better, time to raid again. I'm sure we'd only slow down once our vaults were full of these element infusion materials.

1 RespuestaI have an idea. How about make kinetic damage do more damage to all types of shields. This would fix the problem and make it that elemental primaries would do even more elemental sheild damage but less to shields that dont match. BUMP IF YOU AGREE

He is right about the problem. But there are 3 solutions. Remove them, give all primaries elements, add element weapon mod consumables. The current option doesn't seem bad with a lack of uber shields and regular shields seeming weaker now.

I'm fine with that, however the whole tryin to make more weapons and options viable isn't really working when all of your old favs are no longer viable, which I'm sort of on the edge of that issue, a lot of year ones were op, but some had no problems and are now left behind leaving me with less options.

Dont really care about burns on primaries, but it would be good to get something worthwhile doing hard mode and trials for!
