For those who don't know we, as destiny players, have been completely ripped off. A recent leak shows that even the taken King was intended to be in the orignal game. All of these "compelling story missions" in the game were all supposed to be in the original game. This also includes all of the current strikes and end-game activities. The dreadnaught can even be seen in pre-launch footage along with the reef. Players glitched into dlc areas before they were released meaning the "dlc" was already downloaded. All it needed was activation. This game was meant to have all of the current content and then some in one $60 price tag. Veteran players were scammed for $140 total now along with the micro transactions added recently.
So, what can we actually do about this? Talk about it. Share these facts and look them up yourselves if you so wish. Make sure bungie and other developers can never pull such a heist again. They successfully pulled off the biggest heist in gaming history. This game would be nothing without its hype. Unfortunately the hype didn't deliver and we can't let destiny 2 be the same thing.
EDIT: BDobbins is a reliable source on youtube. Check out his vids for a better explanation if you want. You guys know he's right...
EDIT: Don't you guys remember the huge lack of stuff to do this time last year? I stopped playing destiny around this time last year until TDB came out. I had done everything in one month...Excluding the raid because no one knew what that was.
EDIT: Those who say this doesn't matter or is dead are so wrong. You guys are just gonna let bungie keep robbing us and throwing money at them. I'm not buying destiny 2 and I suggest you guys don't either. At least until we get reviews showing us the amount of content. Then I'll know if it's worth.
EDIT: Guys. I enjoy destiny as a game. It's addicting and contains some epic moments. I don't like how bungie ruined what I could have been.

1 RespuestaI like how everyone here pulls conspiracy theories out of their ass lol. You guys act like this game is the Government.
-
I thought they did admit to it.
-
"BDobbins is a reliable source" BDobbins is an idiot who spews unfounded hate in hopes of getting more subscribers. Don't waste your time or brain cells on someone like him
-
1 RespuestaIs it just me, or is Destiny the only game where people will freak the hell out about its development cycle over a year after it came out?
-
-
So they didnt release a planned part of the game that wasn't ready. Big deal. Ive played destiny more than the last two CoDs, battlefield, and madden. So for my dollar, I've played destiny (140.00) far more tham the other four games I've bought (240.00). In my mind, destiny has been more than worth the money

3 RespuestasOP credits BDobbins as a reliable source. Nothing to see here, guys. Move along.
-
And how would this change anything if they did ? Wow shock horror a game in development was changed. When are people gonna get over this bs. Let it go and move on

20 Respuestas
BDobbins is a reliable source on youtube.
And Kotaku is a reliable source on news, right, muting another moron that see's something on the internet and jumps to believing it.
-
Sees Tinfoil Hatman being sourced in the edits, immediately discredits everything OP wrote. Keep pushing that dudes agenda to hate on every video game.

the reel ddave hit it pretty well Claiming information leaks from anonymous former employees isn't proof of anything but concept. Referencing game trailers from E3 two years prior to game launch is only proof of concept. Data mining files is still just proof of concept. In case you don't understand the difference between conceptual product and consumer product allow me to elaborate: 2017 Concept Car Show features one design for a single passenger car that can also be used as a submarine. 2017 New Cars Roll off the line, one has similar design features as the submarine car but is built for 4 passengers and will not travel under water. Concept is normally far greater than reality

Editado por NobodyJustBrad: 10/23/2015 3:31:20 PMI take it you've never glitched into an area that only had a shell, not even a name yet? I have. I was in what is now called The Mine when all it was was a hollow shell of the cave. No building. No rocks. No plants. No lights. Just the simple texture of a cave. The entrances didn't even have doors, you just fall into nothing. Then we downloaded a patch the week before TTK and guess what? Suddenly there's objects in the cave and a room attached to it. Holy cow, wouldn't you know it? Something they were WORKING ON. And now we all know this ended up being the entrance in the Fallen SABER strike. Literally every game has cut content. Most games have content that is not finished by release and not important to the rest of the game, and becomes DLC later. Most games even have PLANNED DLC, which, of course, means they are already working on it without intention of releasing the day of the game. (Why do you think you can pre order games with a season pass?) If you think it only takes a couple months to make a DLC package, from start to finish, you are sorely mistaken. So every update, you download the LATEST VERSION of the playable game world. Yes, that often includes updating places they are working on for the next DLC. Even though they're hidden away. Why do you think it doesn't take very long for you to get online the day a DLC is released? Because you're downloading it bit by bit each time they put out an update. You should be THANKING them for that because it means you're not downloading 25 Gigs of data each time a DLC is released, taking who knows how long for people to even be able to play it because they're waiting for it to download. We all know this is supposed to be a ten year long game. Do you think they are just coming up with DLCs on the fly? Hell no! Of COURSE they have a ton of content planned for the future. And again, if you think they don't have people working on it right this very moment, you're mistaken. TL;DR I'm definitely not surprised these concepts bewilder a fan of BDobbins. (FYI, BDobbins HIMSELF points out how unreliable Kotaku is.) Muted.
-
They already admitted they did. Check out Kotaku's story on Joe Staten they just released about 4-5 days ago.
-
They already apologized to me months ago. They sent me flowers, candies, stripper-grams.. Oh wait. That was Ferris Bueller. Riiiiight.

You're gonna get a lot of hate for that one bub.

Who the fuck still cares?

4 Respuestas
Make sure bungie and other developers can never pull such a heist again.
So stop playing games? I do love how everyone points to non-finalized ideas from anonymous former employees and videos from people who hate everything/enjoy nothing. OP(or anyone else who is clinging to the cut content/disc locked DLC arguments), do you create things for a living? Do you create things that people consume and judge? Have you ever had to take something, revise, remove and edit it until it's correct and/or working? If you have, then you should understand that sometimes, things get changed from the initial planning process to the finalized version. In Destiny, we have a game where they though SUPER BIG!!! Five years ago, they were probably on board for a game that would span the solar system! They were creating the tools to create beautiful locations, full of fun things to do! They were writing a grand epic story to be a more fulfilling, spiritual successor to the Halo franchise... Then reality hit. People are very fallible. New tools didn't work as well as planned. Stuff that was written and created did not meet the expectations of the leadership. Therefore instead of putting out something that was overall terrible, horrible, and broken (even worse than the game shipped), they TRIED to fix it. Darn Bungie for being ambitious! Now there has been some really pointed criticism about Destiny. That's fine and deserved. But what a lot of the nay-sayers forget is that Bungie is listening. Bungie does care about their game. They care about the community (shocking and unbelievable to many of you, I know). They want this to succeed. You don't create things simply to make money without loving it first. There have been some major bumps in the road, some bad mistakes, some absolute failures in leadership. At the end of the day, Destiny has a lot of players. A lot of people enjoy playing the game, watching others play, and creating content around the game. It has inspired some wonderful things and communities of people. It has also attracted a huge following of trolls and rabble rousers. At the end of the day, Destiny has been extremely successful. It's not the hype, not the skyboxes, not the incredibly deep lore hiding in the Grimoire. It's the strong game mechanics and playing with your friends. Destiny will continue to get better. If it doesn't, it will fail and people will lose their jobs and their hard work will disappear. As a passionate, creative type, I can think of nothing worse for me. I would do everything I could to prevent it from failing if I were creating anything for this game. I wouldn't want that on my resume. Man, I need to stop posting...

Who cares they got to pay there employees and bills somehow. People play over $100 to play 1round of golf . you get to play destiny every day The amount of money they ask for this game is well worth it. I bought it 3times once for my 360 ,xb1 ,and I got it for my lil brother. I never complaind
-
9 RespuestasI give them credit. I personally hope they had all this and more developed and near alpha prior to launch. That smart planing. Did you really think that for a "10 year plan" game they had only what was released on day one? are they supposed to just wing it for 9 years and 8 months? Now a year in they can continue to adjust things.
-
If you listen to bdobbins you need to reevaluate your life
-
Stfu kid youre a -blam!-ing joke
-
Besides that would mean lots of people are out of the job if some content wasn't cut for dlc. I mean if you want to be a dick and complain about the reason these people are still feeding their families be my guest
-
2 RespuestasSo you take a guy who plays Destiny...and insults every game they play now, you call them credible? Since when is hating credible? Why not reasoned debate about good and bad instead of mindless speculation. Honestly -.- That's why I left console and went to solitary singular games on PC. No, not Solitare, League of Legends. Sure they can be just as toxic, but at least they don't bitch about expansions.
-
Um never.

omg u guys are funny.. u realize the RNG in this game is just the same as WoW... u can spend 2 hours doing a raid on there and not get what you want... hardly do you ever get what u want in WoW look the same with Destiny... get over it already... activision and bungie know what they are doing... guess what people are going to pay for it even though we are getting -blam!- here clearly everyone still enjoys the game... i spent like 200 bucks already on destiny maybe more and i would have spent more then that buying games to keep me entertained... so in all honesty thank you bungie for making destiny... unlike some people in this fkn forum.. i appreciate how you saved me money from spending 15-20 dollars on movies or 65 on other games to keep me busy for over a year now..

5 RespuestasPeople need to stop with this Bdobbins guy he is -blam!-ing moron, stop giving him views and more -blam!-ing money so he can complain about shit more, and not have a real job.
