Farm one spot on the edge of an area, leave the area then come back. The materials will be there still. It works for one repeat before they disappear.Then move to another area and repeat. I got it done in an hour.

That's were you messed up. "Spots" I farmed 1 location

what i did was do the spawn area then goto the airplane graveyard next door so the first area could respawn.

Let's say you're in the steppes. All you had to do was find spin metal near the entrance to the mothyard area. You'd farm that, leave the steppes and go into the mothyard, make a quick turn around and that spin metal would respawn. Takes a total of 5 seconds each time

It took me about 45 min as well. Materials will respawn if you leave your current zone. I basically picked up 2 clusters of spin metal, left the zone with my sparrow, and then came back to collect them. Had to do it a few times but it's much better then farming the usual spots I found

Well you must've been farming wrong. I'm also a year 1 player and it took 45 minutes on the moon
