I don't think people understand the objective of Iron Banner Control. People need to start Capturing zones , people just out their expecting to get lots of points by just getting kills. In fact your team can have less kills and still win the game. But people are so selfish they perfer to ignore the Zones and just play for fun. Altough it would be more fun if you knew how to play the objective an actually be a competitive player for those who just run around and rarely capture zones. In fact the best team isn't the one with most kills it's the people with the most captures because it take more effort to capture zones and maintain them.
-
I see people ignoring zone captures as well. I thinks it's funny when you see some guy camping in a doorway with a shotty, just racking up kills while his team loses the match. I always get the Objectively Correct medal and manage to get 10 or 12 kills.
-
5 RespuestasActually, despite it's name and setup, the original Control isn't won through keeping control of as many zones as possible for as long as possible. The fact that the Objectively Correct badge exists is proof of this: it's obtained by the losing team when they had more captures than the winning team. The fact is, Control is a game mode that is won through kills, not zone Control. The people running around trying to kill? They're playing the game properly. They're just aiming to win through sheer number of kills rather than keeping zones for a point buff. It's just a different strategy.

1 RespuestaI agree... but unfortunately the crucible is popular with people who have limited grasp on the merits of strategy and teamwork.. 98% of everyone who plays PVP on a regular basis are about 80% brain dead.

Editado por cuzzybubba1: 10/20/2015 4:02:30 PMThey should have changed Iron Banner from Control to a Zone Control event, I hope they do moving forward. At least this way you don't have mindless knuckle heads focusing on kills.

Baddies think KD matters :(
-
1 RespuestaThe problem is that bungie's maps are so bad that once a team has the 2 "best" points on the map it is damn near impossible to get out of the spawn camp that a good team can establish on you. So many people when playing solo play selfishly and don't play the objectives.
-
They should just change ib to clash if idiots KEEP GOING THE OTHER WAY AND JUMP OFF B!
-
1 RespuestaLord Shax: "CAPTURE THE ZONES" My team: clash it is! Me: *spamming x furiously due to being slaughtered every time I go for a zone, and not being backed up*
-
Wait a second are you telling me there are objectives on pvp. No, it can't be i thought everything was tdm or free for all
-
Wait.... People are having fun?! How dare they. ᕕ(ᐛ)ᕗ
-
My teams never protect a single area..I swear that's why I die so fast in crucible and am still stuck on step one in the quest for the exotic shot gun :/ I think first curse is gonna be a more of a bitch
-
Editado por Tomato Gravy: 10/20/2015 2:51:16 AMThe problem is pretty obvious.....it isn't that people don't get the objective......they just don't really care about winning the match. Bungie loves to force everyone into crucible, by requiring kills for gunsmith testing, exotic sword quest, exotic class item quests....and probably others I can't think of. Also control is just the easiest playlist to get kills......so yeah this is no suprise.
-
8 RespuestasThe other problem is people don't HOLD zones.
-
Add to that the lack of any skill based matchmaking and surprise! Destiny is shit!
-
I play for myself and have fun, if you want to bitch about the mode that Spongie chose to incorporate every IB, it is Spongie you should be bitching to not the player, what if they don't normally play control and go for clash, that is their playstyle. honestly id rather just shoot and kill, siting on a flag waiting for some titan to hammer it up or fist of panic is not for me. have fun with that oh and IRON SPANNER is complete shit with no interest of playing for even more crap loot.
-
I wouldn't be playing if I didn't have fun, so that's a bit of a dumb statement. I do think iron banner as the zone control game type would be a nice change

5 RespuestasEditado por deltorakid2: 10/19/2015 3:22:02 PM"And just play for fun" -yeah. Screw those guys. How DARE they have fun? They all need to be tryhards like OP. You do realize how retarded you sound?
-
1 RespuestaYou are slightly off the mark with "more captures is better". Once your team is at 2 zones controlled, that's when you stop capturing points. Surprise! You're actually free to start playing a defensive (mysterious word, I know) game, where your entire team can actually camp, as a team, to defend the points. Allowing the enemies to march into your lines of fire for multiple easy kills. The teams that are willing to play with the most strategy are willing to win.

Yuuuuuuuup!

8 RespuestasFor the next Iron Banner I'd love it if they went for the "Zone Control" variant they had available the other week. No points for Kills. Only for captures.

11 RespuestasAlot of people say capture 2 but I want them all. If you can capture all 3 and keep them for say 3 minutes, your team are getting 300 points per kill in that time. Personally I like the challenge of holding all three for as long as possible.
-
The team with the most points wins. Get points...win. It's not hard.
-
I always like to have the floaters on our team neutralize the enemy base, but not capture it. It makes a big difference, and while the enemy is trying to get A and B they tend to overlook their home base. As long as you don't capture it it's all good.
-
It's not a bad thing to have a couple of players go for kills, this obviously works better in a fireteam but if they are capable players it keeps the enemy teams away from objective points and allows fellow team mates to capture without fear of being buried in grenades while on a zone. In saying that if an opportunity to capture a zone is present you should take it, people who clear a zone then walk away leaving it neutral should be playing clash, although it doesn't take 6 people to stand on the same zone to capture it still takes at least one, so don't be that guy! In saying that I still find clash more enjoyable since I'm rarely in a full team in control type game modes, randoms can be pretty frustrating at times, haha.
