OK here is a poll because I'm curious to how many people feel the way I do. Personally I feel the loot system this iron banner was a complete joke.
Let's compare year 1 vs year 2 drops:
Year 1 Saladin had 2 weapons and 2 armor pieces to buy. The loot table for matches had 2 additional iron banner weapons, exotic items and all of the regular crucible gear. Which made for getting some decent drops pretty regularly once you hit rank 4 and higher. I know you could get some at rank 3. But the rate seemed to increase as you got higher. Yeah sometimes you got nothing, but at least you saw good drops going to your fellow guardians. Which gave you hope and drive to keep pushing.
Year 2 Saladin has 2 weapons and 1 piece of armor. The loot table (from what I've seen) contains only the same gear as saladin, the new ship, and a whole ton of blues that average 10-20 light levels below from being useful. Oh and let's not forget strange coins and motes of light...
The loot system is so bad year 2 that most of my hard core pvp friends have stopped bothering with iron banner. Between the lag, void bow spam and horrible rewards it hasn't been worth the effort.

I got better drops from tier 1 court of oryx

Disaster. I must have played 40+ matches and got 2 legendaries... one was a ship. Would be nice to have crucible gear in there as well. Just a complete disaster. At least the pulse rifle is good.

4 RespuestasHorrible. They took EVERYTHING that people hated about the Year One loot system....and made it the center-piece of their endgame PVP experience. 1. Poor drop rates for desired items. 2. Things that did drop frequently were largely unusable (except for weapon and armor parts) to end-game level players. WTF do end game level players need with more motes of light? ..and why did someone think that ONE mote was a reasonable reward for a Crucible match, when I can get FIVE in less than two minutes of a Public Event on patrol?? 3. They walled off desired items that didn't drop behind a wall of the most difficult to come by resource in the game: Legendary marks. So not only did I not get everything I wanted to drop....I wasn't able to buy all the things that didn't because I ran out of marks...and ran out of opportunities to earn enough before IB comes to an end. Verdict: Unqualified disaster.

I would like to have seen other IB weapons and armor drop other then what you could buy. Some of the blues that dropped were not bad but for the most part it was trash. I thought we would also have crucible items as well as IB and blues. After all IB is harder then crucible so it should have better gear and prize drops. I just hope they don't do the same for trials or it will suck. I don't do trials but if it was worth my time then I might.

Class items are armor now

Why isn't there a topic for stuck at college all week?
-
Bump for further results.

I just want the ship. Drops have been ok did not have to buy a thing. But no ship.
-
Imagine if DeeJ payed attention to this post, instead of the ones shitting on the game. That would be useful.

Remember when Bungie said the Dreadnaught would be "an inscrutable loot filled fortress?" Whatever happened to that? I think what players call "worthwhile loot" and what Bungie calls "worthwhile loot" are completely different things.
-
The loot system for pvp has always been trash. Always
-
All three are rank 5 and I got two class items and one pair of boots. Maybe one or two blue infusion worthy. That's it. So all and all very disappointed. I basically bought everything

Editado por ClownPuncher2K: 10/19/2015 8:49:51 PMHorrible. IB is now a total waste of time. Would have done better running Patrols all weekend than spending the time to rank up to IB5. 1) The drops are almost non-existent. 2) What little does drop is worthless, and is always far less than what I already have armed (sometimes >20 points less!). I couldn't even use them for infusions. 3) The total number of materials (armor/gun parts) that you get from dismantling the infrequent, worthless rewards has been NERFED, so they're even less valuable than you thought. 4) Now you have to Legendary Marks (40 of them!) to buy a titan mark? Really??? Who's idea was it to move off of Glimmer as IB's currency? I've always been a defender of Bungie's decisions when it came to changes in the economy of the game including the ones that directly affected my personal play style (NERF-ing of IceBreaker, The Last Word, Thorn, shot package, etc.), but this is just ridiculous. Bungie totally blew it with IB. I won't be wasting my time next month. Between the lackluster (NERF-ed/missing/pathetic) Nightfall and IB rewards, there's not much point in spending time as a Guardian.

1 RespuestaSuper stingy loot drops. My friends and I have been talking about how the lack of rewards really takes away from the fun of winning matches. What's the point, if it doesn't seem like we're being rewarded and the entire system is arbitrary? So far, rank 5 on one character and 3 on an an alt and all I've got to show for it are 2 pairs of boots for the main. It's back to feeling like a pointless grind.
-
It was bad. How do I know? I joined a match last 5 seconds. While I was loading I got a medallion for losing the match. I went straight into the scoreboard screen.....got the sidearm to drop for me. That's messed up. I know it's suppose to be random but cmon. I did not deserve that

Editado por Phantom139: 10/19/2015 7:42:56 PMThe only thing I personally believe needs to be adjusted is the drop rate post match. That needs to be increased. As for the light level argument, my position is well known. It's fine the way it is. You don't just hand out 300+ gear to people who can essentially drop in and AFK for 5 - 10 minutes. IB is too "simple" to warrant anything above 300, and this goes for post HM King's Fall as well. The only place that 300+ should drop is Trials, and even then it should be capped at 310 tops (And from what I saw in the database, this is the case). The power curve built for 2.0.0.0 warrants abslutely no need for players to be over 300 for anything but King's Fall and the Court of Oryx, thus these activities should be the only place that those drop.
-
I have not seen one exotic drop. Not that I really care but in the past I would see a few by the time it was over.
-
I did not play because there wasn't any real reason to. No end game light level gear. Before TTK dropped, I did all my alts to rank five and got my six etherics to max my gear every 4 weeks. Prior to HoW I stayed away for the same reason as now. I'm not grinding through 5 ranks just to get 280 gear. Unless you're into collecting, I see no reason to jump into IB.
-
Yeah, I played up to rank 4 and the drops were horrible and nothing close to what Bungie claimed. Only got a class item and was forced to buy tthe one thing I wanted (leg gear) from Saladin. My only saving grace is that he sells his gear for half the mark price. If not for that, I wouldn't have gotten anything worth my play time.
-
Rank four before i even got a drop, even then it was garbage compared to what i already own. Iron Banner gear should be at least 300 attack/defense.
-
Iron Banner was so bad even the fan boys aren't defending it.
-
This is how they will reward trials gear too! Lol brother Vance won't even sell the stuff! Have fun pvpers!
-
I do believe it's broken
-
10 RespuestasYou also should note that ALL previous iron banner gear was Raid quality and provided an alternative to being at the mercy of raid RNG to level. That's gone now too. The iron banner gear is no better than what the tower vendors sell.
-
1 RespuestaIron banner is just flat out broke as -blam!-, destiny is a ship that is going down fast, I'm a day one player and I can't even defend bungie anymore, I'll just stick to halo 3
