Our plan is to use these new items to bolster the service provided by our live team for another full year, as they grow and create more robust and engaging events that we’ll announce later this year. It has been, and continues to be, our goal to deliver updates to the game. Going forward, our live team is also looking to grow beyond vital updates and improvements to focus on world events, experiences, and feature requests.
That's the whole paragraph from the Tess announcement. If someone can point out where it says FREE DLC anywhere in there I'll suck on my own foot for a whole day.
Theres a reason why they phrased things the way they did. To get you to BELIEVE it was free and boy did they do a great job. Hell they technically didn't even say it was gonna be NEW content. Look closely. The word bolster means to strengthen, support, and reinforce. Which implies that they're just going to be adding to content YOU ALREADY HAVE. They didn't say anything until the last couple sentences, "Going forward, our live team is also looking to grow beyond vital updates and improvements to focus on world events, experiences, and feature requests" and even that is vague at best (WTF is experiences)
Don't be fooled by bungies sweet nothings.

not even a problem if Thad can buy $45 worth of cookies and water then dlc is nothing

1 RespuestaIt came from a Kotaku actricle which, is completely unreliable imo. Bungie has never officially said the words "Free DLC" unless it's said here on this site, and even then for that matter, I'll believe it when I see it. I'm not saying it can't or won't happen just that their track record so far has been less than stellar. Besides why give us stuff for free when we obviously are more than willing to "throw money at the screen".

10 RespuestasAmazing how you conveniently omitted this part of the sentence in your rant: "...as they grow and create more robust and engaging events that we'll announce later this year. " even though you quoted it. Looks like they'll use the money to create engaging events. Awesome!
-
Well, well Activision gives out free stuff all the time right?

Editado por yungblockburna: 10/15/2015 11:17:44 PMI would be disappointed if they did give us a free dlc....yes you read that right

1 RespuestaI'll suck my own foot Thats nasty hahaha make my day

Because if it's an Internet rumor it must be true. Because if an Internet publication says it, it must be unofficially official. Because sheep are so stupid they'll believe everything the nice man tells them no matter how many times that nice man has lied to them before.

4 RespuestasBump if your tired of these blind Asshats.

1 RespuestaEditado por Svea_Forzum: 10/15/2015 9:51:25 PM1. Bungie has never said anything about upcoming DLC:S being free neither have they said anything about them having a price tag. 2. It's Kotaku that has spoken to a "very reliable source" where he/she told Kotaku that the plan is to bring us free dlc via/thanks to the earnings from microtransactions.

1 RespuestaYou can't be serious. People aren't citing Bungie. They're citing Kotaku.
-
2 Respuestas
I'll suck on my own foot for a whole day.
That's hot.

4 RespuestasThere's no way emote sales will make them more money than another $20 DLC. I can't believe people actually would even consider thinking that Bungie would make any future DLC free for any reason. Stop being so naive, people!
-
7 Respuestas
Going forward, our live team is also looking to grow beyond vital updates and improvements to focus on world events, experiences, and feature requests.
"Beyond vital updates." These vital updates meaning Questlines, Missions, Dailys..things like that. Beyond that? We can only assume DLC.

6 RespuestasCan you point out the "you will pay" part?
-
2 RespuestasHow will I afford it now? I have no job...
-
1 RespuestaThis is a test. If bungie gets enough people to buy emotes you can bet this game will go pay to win. But it has nothing to do with making content free. If you believe that I have a pyramid scheme you might be interested in. Just send me $2 and I'll tell you how to start....
-
2 RespuestasPeople are using a Kotaku article that says no more paid DLC as proof, apparently not realizing that they are not an official source and that's what they HOPE comes from this. I fully expect there to be 2 paid DLCs as scheduled, just more event-type activities sprinkled in-between.
-
I'm so tired of explaining this lol

16 RespuestasSilver pays the wages for the new staff they employ. Staff employed to keep your current content running Gold will be rolled out at some point to pay for the new staff they hire. Hired to keep your current content running You heard it here first
-
2 Respuestasso what? they aren't changing anything and the emotes aren't necessary for the game. you are making an issue out of nothing
-
So we may get a new defend warsat event on Venus? For free? Throw money at the screen!
-
It says events so basically more iron banner and ToO
-
Bungie have denied saying things that were in the promotional video for E3 2013 so even if Bungie had said it you still couldn't take it as the truth.
-
4 RespuestasDont care..got all emotes for free from bungie
-
6 RespuestasThere is no paying for Destiny until Fall 2016 when Destiny 2 drops.

It may happen, it may not happen. Either way as long as content stays along the path TTK set then I'll be happy.
