Crusible must have started as an inside joke, a minigame in otherwise decent game to pass time between raids. There was no need for dedicated servers because only a handful of people would play it anyway. Then Bungie realized that some people actually started taking it serious and consider it as a real competitive pvp game. All this despite the fact that lag was awful and people had been posting cheating videos since start. I can imagine their astonishment. Joke had evolved in something completely different. Marketing department must have been thrilled. People would actually settle something that had been slap together overnight. Then House of Wolves came out... No raid... Lag infested pvp cheat fest is introduced... Best gear and first really unique achievement(lighthouse) is sealed behind wall of lag, guarded by ever so imaginative cheaters. Bungie calms players by stating that they have banned bunch of people for cheating. No actual proof is presented. Crusible is a joke. Don't expect anything more from it. So play it as a joke and have fun. Edit: Thanks for all your support to spread awareness of how joke crusible really is. Keep it up! Yesterday I came across with a fireteam of 4 in crusible. The whole fireteam had red bars unlike anyone else in that game. They were wrecking our team naturally. I guess they were just "practising" for Iron Bannes or maybe Trials? I was humbled by the level of skill they presented...
