Did you turn it in yesterday or today, cuz I turned mine in today and the gunsmith didn't say anything, is that how it works or am I -blam!-ed

That's how it works, he says nothing. Ikora or Eris sends you to Venus (look at your map) to do a strike (hive mind) where you need to kill an NPC that spawns (I soloed him) then you go and do the s.a.b.e.r raid and that's it...pretty lackluster.
