Anyone else thinks this?
I mean yeah, the damage is pretty good. But the Exotic perks containing bounce count and enemy penetration are shit as always. And only 7 shots basically make it a rocket launcher without blast Radius and charging time.
I tried equipping year 1 gear with "Increased Heavy Ammo Capacity" and I was able to carry 9 shots, which is perfect IMO. Just too bad the perk doesn't exist in Destiny 2.0
(I know there is more Rocket Launcher/Machine gun ammo, but no "More Heavy" in particular).
And also, I don't really see it replacing my Touch of Malice any time soon.
Your thoughts guys?
EDIT: Carry more Fusion rifle ammo Does NOT work with the Sleeper
EDIT 2: For some people, the Fusion Rifle Ammo perk seems so work. Other say it only works on the boots. I have it on the boots + chest and can still carry only 7 shots. Please leave your results Below in the comments!

1 Respuesta"You have to aim it" = It sucks. That's all I heard. K, bye then... I'll be one hitting everything with crits with this railgun over here.

5 RespuestasMy 1 and only problem is with the ammo. I'd rather use my exotic sword.

1 RespuestaIt sucks

1 Respuestahttps://www.bungie.net/en/Forum/Post/161011802/0/0/1 Its not underwhelming. People just don't know how to play the game. (That includes armor piece meta)

Not really, I'm actually quite enjoying it and it earnt a spot in my raid loadout after running the entire raid with it yesterday. It synergises really well with the raid sniper and cocoon, I never have to waste time reloading during a boss burn phase. Sniper > sleeper > sniper (reloaded with cocoon) > primary. It absolutely tears the ogres to shreds vs Oryx The perks are a bit meh - hip fire is next to useless for me as I aim down sights 95% of the time, and I'll agree the ammo carry capacity needs to be increased - 3 in clip and 9 reserve would be optimal imo. Or fix it to work with ammo perks (is it heavy or fusion rifle ammo to start with, neither perks work) Until then I use ruin wings and ammo synths. It's no noobhorn but its a pretty beast weapon, for let's face it not really doing much to get. The rest of you need to accept - gone are the days of noobhorn, I'm glad it's gone, it broke the game and made it to easy.

1 RespuestaApparently it is more powerful than ghorn... I have not personally confirmed this, but that's what I've heard
-
its intended for oryx, when you wanna deal alot of damage in a short amount of time, its the best option

1 RespuestaWas just coming here to say the same thing. It's a good gun, but it's only pumping out 13k per shot. I can take out the shields and 66% of a Major Wizard's health, but the Gally was able to kill the Wizard AND damage a few others. I could see the plus in PvP, it's alike a Spartan Laser, but in PvE it could use a Buff to even come close to the hype they gave it.

1 RespuestaEditado por FrenetiCreature: 10/9/2015 5:42:15 PMThe perks do kinda suck! But, that was from all of the griping year one about weapons being op. Now, the weapons are a little more balanced, yes. But, as a result, there's nothing that really stands out, nothing that is truly awesome! So, they've gotten their "balance" and we've lost the awesomeness. Thanks whiners! So yeah, the sleeper puts me to sleep. That being said, my year two starfire protocol has the 'carry more ammo for heavy weapons' perk.

3 RespuestasExotic sword with over 80 ammo and superattack just kills AsS. Shame but 7 ammo on SS? Cant see why id use it instead of my sword tbh
-
It can headshot a sunbreaker. And kill it.
-
2 RespuestasBoss Shredder. Skolas can be downed in 35 seconds with it. (Comparable to Gjallarhorn with Solar burn) Athion in 10 seconds.

8 RespuestasEditado por BigBabyChip: 10/8/2015 12:02:07 PMThis is only phase 1 of the gun inspect it, I'm pretty sure the 2nd phase will make it 310 and even hit harder 2nd phase is midnight exigent: status=still in progress.
-
I think there is more to the weapon, Midnight Exigent: Still in Progress. Might be an additional perk after completing it or?

4 RespuestasCan you still do the mission today?

3 RespuestasI don't know why people think the perk "carry more heavy" is not a thing in year 2. If you want a guarantee chance of getting this perk you can buy the Starfire Protocol (warlock chest armor) from the exotic blue print terminal in the tower if you already had gotten a year 1 or year 2 version. You can also get the perk to randomly drop on a piece of armor. I got a Crest of Alpha Lupi with the perk from a exotic engram. Its exists in year 2 buts its not as common as in year 1. Mainly players complain because they can't find it left and right as they did in year 1 with basically all boots allowing to carry extra machine gun or rocket ammo. This is year 2 and they introduced 2 new heavy weapon types (the swords and sleeper), so now there is a diverse amount of heavies players can pick. They also decreased to make game play "better" in the sense that you can't walk into a raid/strike/mission and keep pumping out heavy as you could in year 1 with the ghorn and increased rocket ammo. It now requires you to play around your heavy and use it when needed. There are also these things called synthesis that you can purchase in multiple ways. Or you can get armor to increase the heavy drop rates such as the Alcgemist's Raiment (warlock chest armor) and the Ruin Wings (Titian gauntlets). They made the game a tinny amount harder where players got to use their abilities and ammo smarter and not go pumping ghorns all day

3 RespuestasStarfire protocol has increased heavy ammo perk still just saying
-
Maybe the last perk should be calibrated. I would love it if it can be like the Spiral in Devil May Cry 3.
-
I find every aspect of the gun disappointing, from the quest- which i thought would be alot longer- to the actual gun. The ricochet just seems useless, and it's amo count sucks (but seems on par with rockets, which makes sense i guess) It's damage seems nice though It is different, so I'll mess round with it for awhile, but will probably go back to my sword

2 Respuestas7 shots motha-blam!-ka I only have 3

Sleeper stimulant does 2960 to the head of a level 2 dreg. My Stillpiercer does around 1800 headshot. I tend to think of the Simulant as an extra sniper. Run out of Stillpiercer ammo, switch to the Simulant.
-
1 RespuestaI carry more heavy ammo and get 9 shots plus you can get precision hits with this gun. Been tearing strikes up with it.
-
Schutzstaffel needs more ammo to kill more things

1 RespuestaHow do people have the Sleeper? I've done the missions but haven't been on today.
