Every fps that as ever existed has pistols as SECONDARY weapons! I quit this game when hand cannons became primary.. It makes no sense. Go shot a gun.. Pistols lose in all gun fights against ar15s....

Soooooo by changing the name of a pistol to hand cannon the become the most op gun in the game? Makes no sense a bigger assualt rifle should always out preform a pistol...

I hate to start a caliber war, but hand cannons are more like high-caliber hunting revolvers, and sidearms are more like the smaller, weaker M9 service pistol. People are literally comparing apples and... dog poop when when they compare hand cannons to pistols from BattleCallofAdvanceWarDoody.

So it has high caliber rounds. Why would that make it have better range then a long barreled weapon ? The hand cannon need crowd misses shooting from across the map... It has since been fixed. can explain how a small barreled pistol is mega accurate at long ranges??

But it should definitely be a contender against scrublord spray-and-pray, hold-the-trigger-down-until-the-bad-man-stops auto rifles. Which it is. And I agree, the range nerf was needed. Should hand cannons be a special weapon? I dunno. The model would work, though, so long as it's based on something you'd use for hunting, like a .454 or S&W 500, and not something like the majority of 9mm/.40 semiauto pistols out there today. I wouldn't mind pairing a Timur's Lash-style, high-impact, low ROF hand cannon with a scout rifle for about 99% of my PvP needs, that's for sure.

Lol holding the trigger down is not an effective method to get kills. You need to burst fire to get head shots... Hand cannon had to much power and range now it's fixed. Nothing to see here move along

Heh, you must be one of a very small handful of PvP players who actually feathers the trigger when using auto rifles, instead of just squeezing the trigger and screaming while making an O-face. Good game, sir! [spoiler] No, seriously![/spoiler]

It's much more effective to feather the trigger. I enjoy a good auto rifle. Don't get me wrong I can use the hand cannons. U wrecked with the thorn.. I just think it's stupid if that's all anyone uses...

hc rewards accuracy so it i can hit 4 head shots you're out even at the current state 3 with the moon and 2 with tlw

Reward headshot close range. But before nerf a thorn out sniped all snipers at times. Pistol don't have that kind of range. Bungie fixed it and I came back to destiny. If they make pistol op again I'm going for good...

That logic is flawed because all the weapons are in the future therefore a pistol is still the worst gun...
