I got lucky with LFG and got to finish it. Just know the mechanics and look for a group that isn't elitist. May be hard, but totally worth it.

When I LFG for one or two more guys I give basic requirements: mic and ask for help if needed. Took me 2 and a half hours to get to oryx and stopped there because someone had to go.

It's not even the fact that I prefer experience, it's just that more than likely someone I get on forums is gonna be average-below average skill, not everyone, but a decent amount. A skilled person will catch on very quickly, but more often then I watch the guy I got on forums on my kill feed dying every wave for hours until ppl in fireteam start leaving

I see that being a problem as well and understand that completely. This raid can be very difficult when 1 or 2 people don't pull their weight.

Some legitimately want 300+ light and oryx slayers only, but I think the majority (me included) just want players that can follow directions, not die, and not suck. Lol that's really it, and typically those who have beaten oryx already fall into that category

Yeah my original post should have addressed it better. By elitists I meant the 300+ light, emblem only, be MLG pro or boot kid of groups. I can't stand incompetent players who won't listen.

Yeah, those are the first mentioned group I said, people who ask for emblem only are chumps lol I just that they know how to do it, I beat the whole raid yesterday twice on my 286, (now 290) warlock, it's not that tough

Nice. I'm hoping to beat it with my original group this weekend. Just hoping no one lags out or has an emergency, so we can have a sweet victory.

There are plenty of groups with little or no requirements. Just need to be proactive

Yesterday before reset, I went looking for a group and it was a struggle finding a team for an hour and a half. It may be a different story the rest of the week and I just got lucky looking for a team not asking for much.

Yeah that's Monday. Go look for a group today and it will be better. Also the perfect group won't find you. You need to do the searching and you will find one

Yeah just a bit unlucky. My group runs on the weekend but had to stop at oryx, so I had no choice but to LFG. Hoping to completely finish it with group this weekend. :D
