Hard Mode is an Extension of the Raid
After listening to the interview with Luke Smith with Kotaku one thing is clear....we have not seen everything the raid has to offer yet.
Luke Smith said that this is still the biggest raid yet implying that normal mode is only part 1 and there is much more to come.
I believe hard mode will not be a rehash of normal but instead a set of completely different bosses.
The fact that Bungie won't officially announce if Oryx is dead? No information yet on the Queen (outside of grimorie)? This interview with Luke Smith?
I'm excited for hard mode and Kings Fall 2.0.

Edit: to dispel a rumor they said that "they started with hard mode and then scaled it down to normal mode". That does not necessarily mean with difficulty...it could have meant started with 6 bosses and then gave us 3 for normal. We are assuming a lot with that statement.
Edit 2: TTK is year 2, Kings Fall is year 2. Don't assume the pattern for year 1 raids will continue with year 2.

4 RespuestasThere should be more to hard mode. We never battled that "white knight" that tells oryx that "their leaders have been captured" or whatever he says during that cut scene. Plus how the hell do you get the other raid emblems? Maybe you have to flawlessly do the tomb ships and grab the emblem from the hidden chest.

well they'll have new mechanics but the bosses are the same. If you watch the Kings Fall trailer you can see the Warpriest doin stuff he doesn't do in normal

3 RespuestasMy guess is after beating Oryx a portal opens, leading us to Oryx's dimension where kill Oryx so he can't come back to life.

I know they haven't announced he is dead, but the Dreadnought IS his throne world, and so when he dies at the end of the raid by all Hive logic, he should have actually died. Also in the book of sorrows, I forget which one, Oryx basically hints that the Touch of a Malice is in fact s weapon that can only be made in the wake of his own death. That exotic Ravenous Heart you get for killing him is the floating piece of darkness the gun manipulates. I would argue that it is actually a piece of Oryx, and that he must have died in order for it to exist.

You never know they put a bunch of new things in TTK so maybe more content or different content for hard is plausible. Only time will tell.

15 RespuestasDont hold your breath. Bungie has been known to disappoint... Just look at the old raids. Everyone thought they were getting upgraded to new level 34/40 difficulties and low and behold, no change whatsoever.

Luke smith also said they designed the HM of this raid first and stepped it back into the normal mode. So I feel you're completely wrong.

(WOW days are the reason probably) I think when heroic mode comes out there will be even more then just a new difficulty added. New raid quest would be likely.
