I'm 14 and I was a Christian all my life and so were my family. But recently I decided to question everything and think really hard on the thaughts. I thought to how I get bullied by people who claim who are Christian, how wars that have or right now happened because of religion, to churches that kick people out for "sining" just like how everyone else "sins."And tonight my mom asked me if I was ready for church and I told her no and I told her why I am an atheist now and she now has me grounded until I convert back but I refuse to.
i can't play my sweet destiny because of this now :(
1 RespuestaWelp, your rents suck. Fake it till you're 18 and out of the house. Then do as you please.

That's bad for you man. Your parents shouldn't restrict you to that just because you made a choice. Do I agree with your choice. No. I don't enjoy people jumping in and saying stuff like "You're such an idiot for switching..." that's not what a Christian is. Keep that in mind. Hope you get your game back though.

Bad Parenting 101

Poor parenting right there You don't believe like them. So what? I'm sure good parents would accept their children for believing or not. I refused going to church to but my mother never tries to force me to believe, it pisses me of when it happens to others.

2 RespuestasEditado por Sieg of Catarina: 10/7/2015 7:29:31 PMThat's shaky. She has the right idea but is going about it wrong. She is accidentally showing you a bad example of a Christian. Now it looks like religion. However, she wants the best for you. I personally think you didn't make the wisest decision, but it's your decision nonetheless. I can't change it, neither can I attack you for it. It's against a Gods nature. I'll just be praying that you have clear judgement.

7 RespuestasPersonally, I'm a Christian. And as you say you don't believe in it, I'm glad you stood up. I'm not here to force my religion down your throat. Do I agree with you? No. While I do question some of what Christianity says, I am 100% devote in my religion. Kudos to you for standing up. We are human, we can think and believe in whatever we want. Hope you get your game back bro

As much as I don't like for you to become Atheist, that's completely stupid to be grounded because of that. I mean really. Grounding is DEFINABLY going to make you want to be a Christian! It's so simple!

1 RespuestaGood your mother is right. While you're under your parents roof you do what they say. When you move out that's when you can do whatever you want.

I use to get in trouble for believing to much or to little.

Editado por JohnWilkesBooth: 10/7/2015 3:22:09 PMJust lie and go with it until you turn 18 then just tell them you never changed your mind but you didn't want them to try and force their beliefs on you and if they actually love you they wouldn't care And if they do still press it on you Congratulations your parents don't actually love you You're adopted

I am a Christian but I do respect you for standing up for your choice, your mom should not force you to be a Christian that is not very Christian of her, she should handle it differently. I suggest you just talk to your mom, and tell her she can't force you to be a Christian, and it is your choice, just talk it out with her and try to come up with an agreement. I admit I have started to question stuff but I'm trying to stay faithful to god.

10 RespuestasAll I can say as a fellow Athiest, is to do plenty of research. Research everything you can about religion. It will be your greatest tool against those that practice that religion. Most religious people don't even know half the things In there own bible.
